Answer:	Performance of the product? Let me put it this way: There simply is NO other mount that you should consider. These are that good. Expensive but worth it, especially if you have multiple vehicles and want the convenience of easily moving from one to the next.

Question:	I have a Bel Rx65 and a 2015 Corolla S. I ran wiring to map light so it's ready. Is it easy to release so I can pull the Bel down while not in car
Answer:	I use the passport 8500x50 and it has not let me down, it does has a very long range in both city and rural areas. I also own the Escort Passport 9500IX which by far is one of the best on the market! The main difference in the Passport detectors is the GPS feature which cuts down on false alarms tremindesly and allows for voice red light camera alerts and your speed is also displayed when the alarm goes off on the 9500IX. As for the Beltronics RX65 in question, it is a good detector also. I purchased this for my sister and would use my self if needed. It also has a smart cord which in my opinion is a must, for easy mute of false alarms (mainly X=band). I definitely would not purchase anything less than the Beltornics, it is a very good detector at a very nice price. In the end if I had a choice, I would pick the Passport.

Answer:	X band is 10.5GHz in frequency, it is rarely used anymore in most places - but some agencies still use it. Beware! K band is around 24.150GHz +/- 100MHz meaning it can vary 24.05GHz to 24.250GHz due to where the manufacturer set up a particular unit to temperature related frequency drift. And Ka band which is centered at 34.7GHz but has a band width of 1300MHz!!! Different brands of radar use different slices of this band, it is the hardest to detect because most all radar detectors are scanning all the bands rather than trying to fit that wide of a bandwidth into the reciever at once! So if your detector is spending time looking for a frequency that isn't used where you drive the most, that's a lot of missed opportunity for detection! Band segmentation is a key feature! Turn off frequencies that you don't need to look for!!!

Answer:	I'm not familiar with the '01 740iL - The detector mount clamps to the shaft holding the rear-view mirror to the windshield. If the shaft diameter is exact or very close to the manufacture's specification it should work if there is about a half inch of shaft open to attach the clamp - The wiring option is designed to tap the +12VDC and Ground used to power an electronic dimming mirror - If this is the case, you can tap into this power source.

Answer:	You are not gonna hide the spiral stretch wire very easily. If you use hard wire kit and it's mounted up high on the windshield then you can run the wire under the edge of the trim and to the fuse panel. That's what I did.

Even then, not all police cars are equipped with radar. A lot of police agencies may only have less than 10% of their units equipped with radar.
