But there two things you need to know, one these batteries are not cheap. The other is you need to have the power cord to charge the batteries with. Answer:	And no there is no 12v plug or anything. Just has a positive and negative for wiring to your power supply of your choosing. And yes to needing to be wired up which is easier than you think.

Answer:	The CB has two wires built in so all you would need is a cigarette lighter socket adapter and wire it up. The wires are about 4' long so you should have no problems where you mount it. The wiring is very easy - that's the set up I have so I can unplug and remove the CB when I'm just driving around locally.

Answer:	Not well. Des Moines is on the Iowa Statewide Interoperable Communications System (ISICS) which uses many simulcast sites. If you’re in range of two towers broadcasting the same frequency you will have issues. The SDS100 and 200 are the only current Uniden scanners to handle simulcast well.

Answer:	I have the 996P2 with this GPS set but what is missing with Uniden is a Bios update as on MENU look into the GPS and on the current BIOS there is NO RANGE. I live in Raynham,Bristol, Massachusetts and why do I get , in my car a frequency of a city over 20 miles . I want to set the GPS only to 5 miles. Question:	If I order this now, will I receive a new unit that does not have the bug where it has to be returned to Uniden to fix
Answer:	IF the seller returned his stock as they were instructed to, all current stock should be fixed. Only the seller would know that. You would have to contact them directly before purchase. I would think all the old stock with the bug has been sold by now, as everyone was sold out for a few weeks during the recall. Id think its safe now. Even if you got the old version, Uniden will swap it with a new unit, and give you a 3 year extended warranty for your trouble. Not to shabby. Since I see the seller answered already, just disregard my comments and grab one!
Question:	can you power this unit from the usb cable in the car
Answer:	The Unit cannot be powered from the USB cable the scanner comes with a cigarette lighter adapter and hardwire cable to connect to a car battery. You can use either one of those cables to power the unit but the USB cable is for data transfer only for this scanner.

Answer:	I purchased the BCD536HP scanner and the BC-GPSK antenna. From my view point this is nothing but a big fat lie from Dan M.This App was a MAJOR selling point of this unit; the scanner even comes with the Wi-Fi dongle; the package even shows the Wi-Fi dongle on it!It's been over a year? REALLY?!? .....REALLY?!?!I would recommend no one buy ANYTHING from Uniden until they keep their promise on the MOST expensive scanner system they have ever sold. I know I'm over $600 into it and it still isn't complete.

Answer:	No you have to plug it in charge it all the way up or wire a 12 v power adapter from the battery in your truck and you can charge it there

Answer:	No, it will not likely work. The metal body of the vehicle shields you from the signal of others. I take mine while I am driving on the Interstate. The only thing I have ever picked up is when the truckers are right next to me while I am sitting in traffic and not moving. When I am outside the vehicle, I pick stuff up within a mile or two. Most of the truckers are all using single sideband radios, and you won't be able to pick them up with this radio at all.
Question:	what is the exact range this can be used if indoors like say im in a apartment my brother is like 2 miles away in a house will it go that far
Answer:	There is NEVER an exact range for radio communication. The FCC rules require that CB's put out no more than 4 watts. I have accidentally talked to a guy in New Zealand from Ventura, CA and also from there to Florida. Other times you can't talk across town with the same radio. In your situation, if the two of you are in rooms with windows that face each other you can probably talk with two of these radios and no outside antenna. But put a small magnet mount outside your window, on a pizza pan (steel) and run a wire from your pizza pan to your radio and connect it to the outside of the antenna connection and now you have an ok base station antenna and ground plain, and will be able to talk much further.

Answer:	In short, it is a good basic starter scanner. It will get you all analog transmissions from 27Mhz all the way up to 800Mhz.For a beginner scanner though, it can be a little tough to program manually. I learned through google searches and youtube videos. But if you want to just figure out what is going on around you, the scanner is preset to scanner different frequency stretches with the push of a button. So you can tell it to search just the standard police/fire/ems frequencies, or just the aircraft frequencies instead of manually programming.Oh, and yes this comes with enough accessories to permanently (wiring harness) or temporarily (cig lighter) set up in your car/truck or in your home as a base scanner (wall plug).Hope that helps..

Answer:	The 335N is just an updated model. The BC355C is no longer in production by Uniden instead the newer BC355N is the current production model. Both scanners are essentially the same aside from very minor technical specifications, just one is currently in production and the other isn't.

Answer:	This is a helpful tool, now in most area police use a different type of radio. They use a p25 phase 2 to help prevent people from hearing them. The scanner for that kinda of radio comes at a high price! I work in EMS, I use this radio when I’m not working to try to avoid any road that has a MVA. I also go to calls sometimes if man power is requested

Answer:	Perhaps the a new model was released under the same part number, because there are many answer from 2013 stating this is not a digital scanner and that this is not a trunking scanner, but today in 2017 it clearly is. The description lists P25 Phase I and II as well as X-TDMA. P25 is the digital radio standard for public safety. X-TDMA is the digital standard for multimedia data over radio. There is also a lengthy list of trunking technologies that are supported by this model. Amazon should clean up and delete the old misleading answers as they no longer apply.

Answer:	According to the manual, you should be able to use an HSP-supported Bluetooth headset (only one) paired with the base unit. Here's the kicker, though: Panasonic states that for best performance, it should be within 1m (3.3 ft) of the base unit, with a max range of about 10m (33 ft). Seems kinda stupid wrong, eh? While I don't personally own a headset, I can say that other reviewers here and on other sites have had either good results (far greater than 3ft), poor results, and everything in between. As such, it seems as though it will depend on how well your headset gets along with most other bluetooth connections. So, if you buy the phone and it doesn't deliver the bluetooth performance you need, you can return it. Sorry for not being able to provide a more definitive answer, but it seems Bluetooth in general can be very temperamental at times (as witnessed by how many Bluetooth keyboard/mouse problems I have seen documented).

Theres a small piece of spectrum between 54 to 88 MHz where some military aircraft like to hangout that the HP2 cant receive, but all other bands (e.g. 30-50, 108-136, 138-144, 148-150.8, 162-174, 225-400, and 406-420 MHz) it will receive.

If your Kenwood audio output is 8 ohms, it should work. Also, if your Kenwood has a larger 1/4" receptacle, you may need an adapter plug. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Depends if you park in a garage. A fire stick will snap off going into a garage. I park in my garage with my 108” whip. I just bend it over and hook it to the whip holder. Works great. Or you can get any antenna and just use a quick release and take it off every time you use a garage. The most important thing is making sure you tune the antenna after install. Otherwise you’ll get nowhere and most likely damage the radio.
