Answer:	Android devices will not work with mobile data when connected to this type of wifi direct device.

Answer:	Hi there, we do. The maximum connection range that the Deeper Start can achieve is 165 ft. However, the range can be reduced if your smartphone or tablet has a weak Wi-Fi antenna. Question:	It says it connects through WiFi. What if there isn't WiFi available? Do I need an internet connection to use this
Answer:	You don’t need a Wi-Fi internet connection or mobile data at your fishing spot! The Deeper device has an internal Wi-Fi access point that you can connect on your smartphone or tablet. Answer:	Thanks for the question! Due to air-bladders, fishes provide a slightly different kind of ultra-sound return compared to other underwater objects, so you shouldn't have any issues - Deeper is smart enough to distinguish what kind of sonar return is a fish or not.

How the Wi-Fi Works?

The Start utilizes smart technology to send sonar readings directly to your smartphone via Wi-Fi. You do not need an internet connection or cellular data for the fish finder to work. It generates its own Wi-Fi signal, which syncs with your smartphone, anytime, anywhere. Wi-Fi connectivity is 10x better and more reliable than Bluetooth.

Charging

Make sure your fish finder is fully charged. The Deeper Start charges in 2.5 hours and uses a USB cable that is compatible with any USB port. The battery lasts for 6 hours of continuous usage. Keep in mind that it isn’t necessary to use it continuously, unless you’re having fun scanning.

Connecting

Use the barrel swivel to securely attach the fishing line to your Start fish finder. Place it in the water and it will automatically switch on. Connect to your fish finder via your phone settings. Then, open the Deeper App (make sure it’s up-to-date) to start scanning the water.

Important: Make sure you have turned off all Wi-Fi assistance on your smartphone (e.g., “Wi-Fi Assist” on iOS) or switch off Cellular Data altogether. This will ensure an uninterrupted connection.

Casting

Once connected, you’re ready to cast out. Your Start has a connection range of 165ft. To ensure a solid connection, do not put your phone on the ground or in your pocket. We recommend using the Deeper smartphone mount for your rod.

Scanning

Once your fish finder hits the water, you’ll start to see fish and depth data on your smartphone screen. Slowly reel in the fish finder and you will see changes in depth and fish location. If you don’t see any fish icons, that means there aren’t any fish! Try another spot until you find fish.

Important : The screen will scroll from right to left even if your sonar is stationary. That’s because your fish finder is constantly sending out scanning beams.

Answer:	About 12"x8"x2". I don't think I'd put it anywhere ony bike except for maybe my saddle bags. It's not designed to be in the weather

Answer:	Our Infinity REF-704A doesn't support tri-mode and can only support bridged at 4ohms and can't run 2 ohm mono subs . If you need more help, please contact our customer support.
Question:	For those who own the chirp+ does it work with the deeper smart sonar app here in the u.s.a? and are all of its features available to use via app
Answer:	Yes it is 2 Ohm stable but NOT when bridged. If you are bridging you need to have a 4 ohm setup. I use one channel for a 12 inch 2 ohm sub and it does quite well.
Question:	Any ideas when the Chirp+ will be available in the US
Answer:	I have my amp. Pushing two 12" alpine's in the trunk and it sounds good.

A traditional sonar sends out a single frequency pulse at a time. A CHIRP (Compressed High Intensity Radiated Pulse) sonar sends out a continuous flow of frequencies, ranging from low to high and because of this, the sonar readings are much clearer and have a higher resolution compared to traditional sonars.
