GPS LOGGING.

GPS data is gathered by the camera's GPS module and is automatically integrated into each video clip providing an indisputable narrative of the where, when, and how-fast. GPS specific data and is then available for review using the Street Guardian Dashcam Viewer. The GPS module automatically corrects time, collects information on position, speed, direction, and geotagged coordinates.

G-SENSOR & FILE PROTECTION.

When it comes to footage that may be of importance, all relevant files will be locked and secured to the memory card for retrieval at a later date. In the event of an impact, the camera's Gravity-Sensor (G-sensor) will automatically lock and restrict the file from being overwritten. Files can also be manually locked and restricted with the push of the emergency button. Such as license plates, street signage, and cool footage to share. The benefit of this is that any footage before and after an important event will be retrievable even if the camera is left recording.

Answer:	Yes, this dashcam records in a endless loop and will recycle over the oldest file with the newest file once the card is full. (Loop Recording option, you can choose 1,3 or 5 minutes) If you have an accident that triggers the G-Sensor it will protect that file.

Answer:	NOV2015 UPDATE: Newest firmware now natively supports microSD cards up to 200GB!_____________SG9665GC can natively support/format 64GB cards max since that's all the current Novatek SDK supports at the moment. We've manually formatted 128GB cards FAT32 in a computer via special app and cluster size and after that it seems to work. We are still doing long term testing and so far so good.This product will come with a 32GB pre-installed
Question:	I just received this tonight. i plugged it in to my computer to check it and set it up but it won't stay on saying "low battery". what's wrong
Answer:	You can't power it via a computer USB port. (Often times only 500 mA) It needs a full 1A of power. Try it in the truck with the included cigarette lighter power adapter. Plugging the SG9665GC into a suitable power supply that provides at least 1000 mAh (1Ah) @5V should solve the problem immediately. So again don't connect it to a computer please, the PC doesn't have enough power to run the camera. Under powering a CPU causing it to struggle isn't good/healthy, best to avoid. This is why we don't include a miniUSB cable in the box. Question:	Is this any better than your standard generic B40/A118 device
Answer:	Here is a side by side Night Time video so you can see for yourself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZZw28Vz3i0 The SG9665GC might "look" like the B40/A118 from the outside but it's totally different inside. Instead of the lower cost Aptina sensor the SG9665GC uses a high end premium Sony IMX322 CMOS sensor which results in superior night performance. The all glass medium wide lens is also much sharper edge to edge resulting in a crystal clear perfectly focused image. The all metal lens housing keeps the lens from warping in high heat as well. The budget model B40/A118 lens is too wide and uses a cheap plastic lens/housing which results in an often times out of focus (heat warped) soft image. The SG9665GC has a higher spec Novatek NT96655 CPU which is more capable and has a higher heat tolerance than the B40/A118 NT96650 lower spec CPU. Let's not forget about the audio either. The microphone and sensitivity is far superior on the SG9665GC compared to the muffled B40/A118, you'll be pleasantly surprised how well audio is picked up. B40/A118 has a light grey non-stealth color adhesive pad, while the SG9665GC adhesive is stealth black and blends right in from the outside. For GPS, the B40/A118 uses a GoTop with MTK (Taiwan) chipset, ours is Ublox 7020 (Switzerland). SG9665GC Ublox: it's very stable and has great performance. It acquires GPS signal very fast whether the vehicle is moving or still. Also the GPS signal acquisition is quick when the vehicle comes out of a tunnel. GPS accuracy is very good. The craftsmanship and appearance of Ublox is better. But the cost is higher. The A118/B40 MTK GPS: newcomer in GPS tracking business,. It has worse performance in GPS signal acquisition and stability. If the vehicle comes out of a tunnel, it may take some time to reacquire the GPS signal, but of course the cost is lower. Answer:	This camera is not a radar detector. It is able to connect to the Cobra iRadar app which radar detectors share information on locations of live police locations. The app also shares red light camera, speed camera, and speed trap locations with alerts showing up on the dash cam screen when connected to the app. You can download the Cobra iRadar app for free and check it out.
Question:	About the pmp, first do you need to toggle on and off the paper switch to go into parking mode? or can you just leave it on the on position
Answer:	No, this camera does not have infrared as a feature of the product.

Answer:	It will show display while driving temporarily. After about a minute it will either show your mph or time. You choose in the settings.
