Question:	How do I access the cable holes? Them seem welded together
Answer:	The cable holes should be open and if they aren't maybe you have to punch them out. I am not sure I wasn't the one that set mine up.

Answer:	Not very loud. It just plugs in so yes. I plan on using it when it gets warmer.

Answer:	I haven’t had any problems with any units overheating in these units. When installing in residential installations I’ve had complaints with the ambient noise.
Question:	I cannot fine the actual lock on my unit. How do I get that or purchase one to go with this box
Answer:	The lock should be visible like on the picture. The key however is zip tied to the side of the box inside. You need to use a Phillip's head screw driver and remove the screws holding the top down, you wont need to replace them as the lock will hold it all together when you lock it. Now, after removing the screws open the front door and pull the top lid up, it will be stiff as the box is pretty tight. If your box has a fan you will also need to connect it. Also you will need to remove a knock out or two at the rear to run wires into the box.

Question:	Does this need to Ben unplug from the cigarette power when parked? Does it drain the car battery when parked in the garage
Answer:	I think it would depend on what you are connecting. We bought it for our Garmin dash cam. The camera shuts down if the engine is off and automatically turns back on when the engine is cranked back up. Our GPS works the same way so I’d say no it doesn’t need to be unplugged and it will not run down your battery.
Question:	Is this just a charging cable, no data? I don't want a standard 5-pin cable because it puts my camera into standby
Answer:	For two years now I've used to to power my Garmin 35 Dash Cam. It's connected to a cigarrette lighter connecter which is powered from a add-a-fuse that is only hot when the car is running. All of that is hidden under the dash of my 2014 Taurus Limited.

Question:	I am planning to use A118 as a security surveillance DVR for the car. If I plug in or hardwire to 12V fuse over night, would it drain battery
Answer:	I believe the input power to this unit is 5v and 1000 mA so ~5 watts, and if your car battery is rated at 12 V and 40 Ahrs so ~500 watts. You should be able to run this unit for 100 hrs from your car battery. You could have trouble starting your car depending how long you left the camera running also if there is one day you do not start your car I would say its not going to start if the camera is left running. You also have to be sure that you run the car enough during the day to charge back the power lost from running the camera at night, otherwise one unexpected day your car just wont start. So short answer one night should not completely drain your battery, but might be enough to have starting issues.

Answer:	Hello,I am sorry you are having trouble but I will do my best to explain the answer box space provided. The main way to attach the camera is with the mount/clip. You should see a plastic piece that you can attach the sticky 3M red tape to on the back and groves on the other side where the B40 slides in and out of if you want to detach. The other accessories include a sleeve which hide your wires and bracket mounts which help in hiding and bundling them together. Question:	Can this be hardwired directly to battery? the car is bmw
Answer:	Use an Add-a-Circuit device at the fuse block plus a ground wire and a dependable 12V to mini-USB adapter such as EDO. Check your fuse block for the correct fuse type. Use the smallest fuse you can find (2A?) I'd stick with a well-known brand for the adapter for safety. Most auto parts stores sell the necessary stuff. Be sure to use a fuse circuit that is switched with the ignition (or the delayed power circuit on some cars that keep accessory power on until the door is opened).
Question:	Does the GPS track the speed or just the location
Answer:	It logs the location coordinates and time. From that, an appropriate viewing software can calculate the speed as well. I use Registrator Viewer when I want to see my speed and location displayed while viewing. You can toggle between metric and standard. There may be other viewers out there as well, but Registrator is the first one I found that worked for me and I liked it enough to stop looking for others.http://www.registratorviewer.com/index_en.html
Question:	Does the camera update it's time and date from GPS signal so that they never become wrong after long periods of not using vehicle
Answer:	Yes it does. However, it does not correct for daylight savings time. I'm in the Easter time zone but set the camera to Atlantic time during Daylight Savings Time so that the date/time stamp is correct.

Answer:	I called on this & several other issues. I talked to competitors and got the most information on how things are made in China for this particular product and what "Black Box" actually means. According to these two companies there are small assembly houses, about 150 cottage assembly houses was estimated just for this product. The term "Black Box" is not the name of the company as you would expect. It actually just is a generic term for Dash Cam. Honoring your warranty is mostly based on the US importer that supplies Amazon. So you need to find out what you can from Amazon and the supplier. Where they are located etc to see if it is an enforceable policy as well as satisfaction from other customers in the US. I have not had a problem yet so nothing else that I can report.

Answer:	I don't think it will record a video inside the car since the camera is normally mounted on the windshield pointed to the front. You need a dual camera for front and back or a single camera that can be mounted to shoot inside the car.

Answer:	I'm definitely not happy with this device I spent 80 dollars on it for it to stop working after two weeks! I got it as a Christmas gift for my brother and it just stopped working now it won't go past the "welcome" screen the bad thing is that I didn't purchase the warranty but electronics don't always fail right away. Well this one did and now I don't know how to get it fixed for him. VERY UPSET & UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER!!!

Question:	Is there a way to use the power in the rear view mirror? I know for radar detectors you can get adapters to hook into the power at the mirror
Answer:	If there is 1 amp of 5 volt available your set. i doubt it's there though. There is plenty of room in the roof cavity above the map lights to install an adapter and a short cord to the unit.
Question:	I cannot get the micro SD card to stay in. Frustrating! Any suggestions before I return it
Answer:	My unit works perfectly - I don't know why yours is giving this trouble. Is the microSD card "right side up"? The included manual is worse than useless though. Herb Harm at www.octabode.com/herb/Baiklov_Instructions.pdf provides a 5 page self-generated manual which I found essential; the included manual is quite vague, even wrong in places. Print out Herb Harm's instruction, take it into your car, and set about doing exactly what he proposes. I don't know who he is - I found his paper by searching the web for a manual on the G1W-C. I read a few and settled on his.
Question:	When I plug in my GW1-C, it interferes with my FM radio reception. Anyone else experience this
Answer:	I experience no interference with radio reception. Does the interference happen with a certain frequency/station? Do you have anything else plugged in? Are you by any change using an FM transmitter?I mounted my camera pretty close to the roof line on my windshield. The antenna in my car is actually on the roof, and I have experienced no interference or problems with FM radio reception. You may have a faulty unit.
Question:	With a 32 gig card how many hour will it record at best resolution1090 and at
Answer:	At 1080 it will record without looping for 4 hours, at 720 it will record just a little less then 8 hours. I usually don't watch the footage unless something interesting happens during a trip that I want to look at. After the card is full the unit starts over and erases the card replacing older footage, so it never stops recording. It creates files that are 3 min. or 6 min. or 10 minutes long depending on your settings. when the card is full it simply erases 1 file, records over it, erases the next file and records over that, then the next and the next. If you record for 4 hours and plug it into your computer you will see 24 files, each 10 minutes long, 40 files 6 minutes long, or 80 files 3 minutes long depending on your settings. I suggest 10 minute loops.

Answer:	Well if your wondering if it works in the cold, it's been in my truck for the last three weeks here in Ohio, and it's been sub below, and the camera works great, and the suction has held up as well.

Answer:	The cord is short, so I mounted it right on the windshield above the dash and it fits just fine. It is worth the money and the video is awesome. Already bought one for my wife's car too. A great camera.

Answer:	it has an LED light mounted in the front the shines out. not the best. but i have used it at night and it captures very nice off of my headlights. the picture quality is amazing, this is my second brand and i love it. for the price you'll be very pleased

Answer:	You can disable continuous recording so it will stop when full. It also has the ability to "protect" and "lock" the currently recording segment if the shock sensor detects an accident.
