Answer:	Yes, You should use one pad for each step and keep that pad for only that step/polish you are using to keep from contamination while polishing or waxing. Each pad type has a purpose for what you want to do. Ex. foam pad and design is for polishing and waxing to a certain finish. I recommend you pick a brand of pad/system and use that system for best results. They put alot of time in their testing to make sure you and the 'Pro's" get the same results from their system. If you do I think you will be very satisfied.
