In order to do this, a 4th pole was added to the standard 3.5mm connector. However, long before the advent of smartphones, the digital audio recorders were using the standard 3-pole 3.5mm connector (like this cable with the GoPro 3.5mm Mic Adapter).

Answer: It does, however, it does not calculate the moment correctly, so watch out. For example enter 2136 Lbs and 140.7 in. The ASA CX3 will give you 75133.8 for the moment. Moment is calculated by weight x Inches. The correct moment will be 300535.2 - not 75133.8. Just be careful out there. Double check the CX-3's math.
