I had to send my unit back for a replacement, as when I tried to use it for the very first time; when charging the unit up, it started and audible blink, and then the unit got extremely hot, and then would not charge up. If you hit record in this state, it will start recording the last 30 and future without audio, until you hit the mute button again.
