Answer:	The key pad has a delay so you can get in/out of the door. It's 30-45 seconds long, which has been plenty for us.The other sensors sound immediately and have two setting: a loud alarm or a chime.
Question:	What precautions are in place to avoid a teen or preteen to disable the device on the door and/or windows, and the parents be none the wiser
Answer:	If you slide open the battery area there is a switch to turn off the alarm. A teen could figure it out if they took a few minutes

Answer:	For the alarm to go off the metal wedge would need to be depressed. You would also need to make sure that it would be in a firm spot so the product wouldn't slide or move because then the alarm won't sound. Answer:	I suppose you could affix it to a top window somehow, and when someone raised the window, the alarm would sound. Probably depends on how your windows are made. It would take some imagination and work.

Answer:	For the door to get over the plastic edge of the door stop and hit the metal plate to activate the alarm, the door needs a ~3/8" gap from the ground.This is an IMPORTANT detail folks need to know if your doors are snug to ground with carpeting in room, etc. Since the Q&A is easy to see vs slogging through reviews, I wanted to put this info up here.I was trying to enter a question so that I could then answer it with this info that folks really need to know. Answer:	I have round doorknobs as well and mine works fine. Are you putting the head under the knob? It’s supposed to fit in back of and under the round part of your doorknob. Flat part on the floor but I’m sure you know that. Good luck, I have a couple of these and they work great

Answer:	Really? It's FAKE! and plastic. I figured in my neighborhood it would maybe last 5 minutes. I put a strong magnet in the battery compartment instead of batteries and put it right on top of my mail box. It's still there! and so has been my mail lately. I've got it backed up with a surreptitious real one if anything does happen to it or my mail. Certainly a good price for bait. I couldn't care less about it having a little red light glowing. Most crooks are not going to walk up to a security cam to look at it and see if it's operating!
