There is a spec sheet for this sensor on line and that would tell you how it works.

It supports model Raspberry pi 4 b, raspberry pi 3b+/3b/2b,raspberry pi zero/zero w (need to change the cable) .

The sensor resolution is 5 megapixel.Still picture resolution: 2592 x 1944, also supports 1080p30, 720p60 and 640x480p60/90 video. This bus travels along the ribbon cable that attaches the camera board to the Pi.
