Answer:	It should not leave any damage, it just slides behind the existing deadbolt and does not actually attach to the door.

Answer:	This device installs onto a deadbolt, not a door handle. It makes it difficult/impossible for a small child to operate the deadbolt because their little hands cannot squeeze the grey buttons to engage the deadbolt and simultaneously turn it. It does not interact with the handle at all. With the device installed, the deadbolt is operable from both sides of the door. If the door you're looking to lock off does not have a deadbolt, and it has a lever-style handle, I recommend a Door Monkey, which is also operable from both sides of the door and doubles as a pinch-guard. My 2.5 y.o. throws her entire weight against a door locked with a Door Monkey, and it holds. All of our doors in our condo have lever-style handles, and since I had not read very good reviews of devices that attempt to restrict the lever-style handles, we use Door Monkey internally and the Safety 1st Deadbolt lock for the exterior door.

Answer:	Yes, you can open the door form the outside as you normally would. The only problem that I have found is if you're outside and someone inside the house uses the safety lock and doesn't make sure that the two grey push-buttons pop back out(as shown in the picture). In this case, they would block the deadbolt from turning inside the house if you were trying to get in with your key. If everyone understands how the lock works, you should have no problems.

Answer:	There is removal instructions provided within the instruction manual, but if I remember correctly it says you can use floss or fishing line to remove from cabinet and any remaining adhesive can be rolled off by hand.
