4 best outside camera for house

An outside camera for a house is a type of surveillance camera designed specifically for outdoor use to monitor and secure the exterior of a property. These cameras are commonly used for home security, monitoring entrances, driveways, gardens, and other areas surrounding a house. Here are some key features and information related to outside cameras for houses:

  1. Types of Outside Cameras:

    • Bullet Cameras: Bullet cameras are cylindrical in shape and are typically mounted on a wall or ceiling. They are known for their sleek and conspicuous design, making them a visible deterrent to potential intruders.
    • Dome Cameras: Dome cameras are enclosed in a dome-shaped housing, which can make it difficult for intruders to determine the direction the camera is pointing. They are often used in areas where a more discreet surveillance presence is desired.
    • Wireless Cameras: Many outdoor cameras are wireless, connecting to your home's Wi-Fi network. This allows for remote monitoring and easy installation without the need for extensive wiring.
    • Wired Cameras: Wired outdoor cameras require physical connections to power and data, which can be more secure and reliable but may require professional installation.
  2. Weatherproofing: Outside cameras are designed to withstand various weather conditions, including rain, snow, and extreme temperatures. Look for cameras with IP (Ingress Protection) ratings indicating their resistance to water and dust.

  3. Night Vision: Most outdoor cameras are equipped with infrared (IR) LEDs to provide night vision capability. This allows them to capture clear video in low-light or completely dark conditions.

  4. Resolution: Outdoor cameras come in various resolutions, with higher resolutions providing clearer and more detailed images. Common resolutions include 720p, 1080p (Full HD), and 4K.

  5. Field of View: Consider the camera's field of view, which determines how much area the camera can cover. Wide-angle lenses are useful for monitoring larger areas, while narrow lenses are better for specific point-to-point surveillance.

  6. Motion Detection: Many outdoor cameras have built-in motion detection sensors. They can send alerts or record video when motion is detected, which is especially useful for security purposes.

  7. Remote Access: Most modern outdoor cameras allow you to access live video feeds and recordings remotely through smartphone apps or web browsers. This enables you to monitor your property from anywhere with an internet connection.

  8. Storage Options: Outdoor cameras typically store recorded footage either locally on a microSD card or in the cloud. Some cameras offer both options for added flexibility.

  9. Integration: Some outdoor cameras are compatible with smart home ecosystems, allowing you to integrate them with other smart devices and systems like voice assistants, security systems, and lighting.

  10. Installation: Depending on the type of camera, installation can vary from DIY setups to professional installation services. Consider your technical skills and requirements when choosing a camera.

When selecting an outside camera for your house, assess your specific security needs, budget, and preferences. Ensure that the camera you choose meets the environmental conditions of your location and provides the features necessary for your surveillance goals.

User questions & answers

Question: Will it send me a notification for sounds? I am trying to track when my dog barks
Answer: What is the lumen of this solar street light? Is this a fairly bright light. White or yellow?
Question: So its not an actual power cord at the end but a usb plug? i am assuming it comes with a regular outlet plug that the usb cord goes into right
Answer: NO,There is only one battery in the product, there is no battery that can be replaced. And the pathway light use three 1800 mAh rechargeable batteries, charging is fast and can work for a long time.
Question: what does the service cost
Answer: If you buy the new Hue bridge and want to transfer your lights from the old bridge, I recommend that you first update the firmware on the old bridge and make sure you are running the latest Philips Hue app. I was successful transferring my Philips 610 lumen (color) Hue and 750 lumen (white) Lux bulbs. Once the updates are complete, turn on all your Hue bulbs and hook up the new bridge next to the old bridge. Don't disconnect the old bridge yet. Go to the Hue app and select "Settings>My Bridge>Bridge to Bridge Transfer". Your lights will be transferred automatically when the on-screen instructions are carefully followed. The exact wording in the app may be slightly different, just look for the "Bridge to Bridge Transfer". Once the transfer was completed, I updated the firmware on the new bridge to the latest version and disconnected the old bridge. I can now use Siri to control all the Hue bulbs. A manual bulb-transfer is possible, but the procedure is a lot more complex.
Question: What is the 10ft cable for? Do I need a landline to set it up or does it use wifi
Answer: They connect through the bridge, so the bridge has to be in range of the lights. I have my bridge in my upstairs man cave with hue lights in there and also outside on my front upstairs and downstairs porch and they work fine. The max distance to the furthest hue light is about 50 feet through several interior and one stucco exterior wall.

User questions & answers

Question: How do you make the connection inside? Does it have something that connects to your router? If so what? What do you need on yourr router to connect
Answer: Pretty sure any handle will be slippery if fat or grease gets on it. I have knives with plastic handles and knives with metal handles. I don't really feel a difference as far as the grip. Sometimes I feel that the knives with metal handles are weighted too heavy on the handle. My opinion. My version of this particular knife has a plastic handle. It is sharp as hell!!!! Goes through a tomato like a hot knife through butter.
Question: What is the length of the power cable provided with the nest outdoor cam
Answer: There is no information that says it is but this one is Daily Chef Santoku Knives Commercial Grade NSF Certified - 2 pk.
Question: Nest wants $600 a year for my 3 cameras to record. Is there any cheaper way to save footage
Answer: Not sure what nsf certified is but this is an awesome knife. I have a full set of them
Question: Is it me or does this look waaaaay too easy to defeat or steal
Answer: I think you will find this is just a regular knife. If you can use other knives you will be able to use this one. They are excellant knives and cut very easily.

She was recently broken in the middle of the night into and the camera that she had pointed directly at the glass door showed the burglar outside on the patio and they caught the break in clearly. With the help of that camera showing the door being forced and other cameras throughout the business, the alarm on her phone allowed her to call the police even before the alarm company did. They caught the would be thief within minutes.

Answer: Cable end connected to the Mini Camera is Micro USB, and the other end connected to the power source (any phone charger) is USB-A.
Question: Is the system secured from hackers
Answer: Nothing is 100% secure, what you need to do is balance the risk vs reward. MOST people will NEVER be hacked or have any issues.. maybe .. 1-2% will. My opinion only, I can not speak or influence anyone. If networks are secured and have passwords etc.. hacking is very rare and I have not had any issues with it so far.
