Reading the manual which has a typo reads : Operating Temperature -20ºC ~ 60ºC (-4ºC ~ 140ºC) Should read : -20degC to 60degC = (- 4 deg F to 140 deg F ). I live in Anchorage Alaska. I have owned 2 High Speed 1080p Tracking dome cameras. The first lasted over a year then froze when defrosters failed. 2nd cam defrosters failed after 10 months both Cams are rated for -35 deg F. These are rate for -35F. This Foscam wont make Alaska temp @ -4deg F. My defrosters in my Imporx or Sunba Tracking cams (which both brands are basically same Chinese Cameras) burn up and fail after 5 months of very cold weather (20 deg F to -32 deg F) . I have a Sunba high speed dome in backyard (Looks like big smiley face) that has no tracker option and for some reason has lasted over 2 years running 24/7. That is why I am scrutinizing this camera, I wanted one that is rated for -72 deg F, But I am 99.9% shure the seller is wrong answering this question after reading the manual to this camera.

The camera does not store your pictures...you send them to a storage location using FTP (file transfer protocol). This location could be a folder on your PC or home server, or a cloud service.Recording a picture can be initiated in several ways:1) by motion detection....camera sends pictures when movement is detected in the view area2) by schedule..camera sends pictures periodically, with time-stamp in the file name. You decide how often.3) by schedule but file is overwritten. File name stays the same, new picture over writes previous picture file.3rd party software can give you additional features. Question:	How long is the included power cable
Answer:	Hi Carl:I didn't measure it but I think about 12 feet. I drilled a small hole through my roof into my garage and extended the power supply with an extension cord into the garage. Then I sealed the hole with a rubber patch and silicone. Works fine. Unfortunately I can't point the camera at my house so I have it pointed into the cul-de-sac and look down the street. It would be nice if it had a battery pack so I could mount it on the public light pole and point it to my house. Camera works fine and had for about 8 monts so far.

Answer:	1280x720 resolution. These are HD cameras, so be careful because if too many frames per second, can really slow down your network. I have 2 of these an love them. Also has sound if you use an external mic.

Answer:	Yes, you will be able to view via web browser. It also has a built in email server so you can use the motion detection option to email you 6 still shots when motion is detected. I use an app called Surveillance Pro on my iPhone to remotely view.

Answer:	Differences between 05W and 04W.Physical:05W is wider with a detachable hood, more LED's for night vision, but similar in all other physical features. Same cord, connections, and antenna as the 04W.Performance05W appears to be clearer with higher resolution, but is not as wide of view as the 04W. You would want the 04W for a front door cam, close up area, or top down view over an entrance, and the 05W for a larger area such as a long hallway, yard, driveway, etc. The set up is identical for both.

Answer:	2.4 is still N, unless its right on top of your wireless router or AP 5ghz is useless, since most cheap routers have the same throughput on 5ghz as 2.4 you might as well use 2.4 which has farther range and goes through walls better.

Answer:	Do you have a plug that is nearby? I have mine mounted on the side of my deck and I use the outdoor outlet that's on the back porch. It's about 10 feet away from the camera so I purchased a 10', 12V extension cable for the camera.

Answer:	No SD card. You can record through your computer and the included software.

Answer:	I use an Apple app called "Baby Monitor" on my iPhone. As the name suggests, it was originally intended for monitoring a baby by video cam, but I find that that it works great for my purpose. I had another highly rated app but didn't like it as much because, although powerful, the app was sluggish and the video quality on my iPhone wasn't that great and it was overly complicated with a lot more bells and whistles than I really needed. "Baby Monitor", on the other hand is a relatively basic app which doesn't try to do everything, but does the things that it does do very well with easy to use controls.

Question:	For initial mounting, can you unscrew the main cable from the back of the camera so that you can fit it from the interior wall going back outside
Answer:	Yes. There are several ways to save and playback recorded videos. I use Blue Iris which is a third party program to manage my cameras. It is not free, but it also is not horribly expensive. I also have Foscam VMS. You can designate where the files are stored on these programs. I also have a memory card in each camera and I save the recordings to the memory card so I have it in two places should someone steal my computer.

Answer:	The Roku channel Cameras (search Roku's channels list for it) shows live view from ip cameras including our G2 cameras after putting in the required info of cam type, IP address for each cam, and username and password (same name and password from Foscam cellphone app obtained from PlayStore).
