If a base station fails under warranty (usually a year), you can send get in touch with HTC to seek repair at the cost of shipping to them. So, buying it here would usually be for when you can't wait. Also note that new base station designs should be coming "soon" (probably in some months as of April 2017). The new designs will have more reliable single-rotor rotation and a wider angle.

Answer:	The lights are LED. They last for years and don't get replaced separately from the whole fixture.

Answer:	We use an WIFI extender to boost the signal from the second floor to the first floor of our home. The extender is about 30 ft away from the light through one brick wall and one interior wall. In order to sync the light for the first time, I moved the extender closer to the light which seemed to help for initial setup (wouldn't find the network initially). I then moved the extender back to its original location and the video is transferring just fine. I've read about concerns transmitting wifi through metal walls. I might suggest checking for signal strength where the light will end up being installed. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Yes. It is very strong.If you are going to be shooting a time exposure outside， I highly recommend using the bag hook to secure your heavy camera bag or some sort of weight to hold it down. But it doesn't fit the heavy lens.

Answer:	I would doubt it. While this is a solid, stable and well built tripod, it is intended for cameras not crossbows. So unless your crossbow has a standard camera mount on it I wouldn't think this would work so well for your purposes.

Answer:	We are using it for heavy binoculars. Be aware that the tripod head is a camera mount and not as stable as a binocular mount. However, I like that ability to swivel the binoculars freely. The connection is secure and I carry the tripod on my shoulder with the binoculars attached.

Answer:	The hook has a set screw which is what seems to hold it to the center post. If yours is missing I could see how it wouldn’t stay on. You probably could exchange it. This is a super little tripod so I’d think it would be worth the wait to get a replacement.
