You don't have to use the app, but you do have to set up a personal Nixplay account to be able to email a photo to the frame. What that means is that my extended family (over 100 people) will all have to become registered users of the Nixplay system in order to send photos to my 100 year old grandmother. I wasn't able to find this out until after I bought one and attempted to set it up. I'm returning it in favor of the Skylight frame, which does allow emails from non-account holders. |
