Answer:	I'm not sure, but I dont think Canon changed the flash system onthe R. It is compatible withe 600 RT flash which I am pretty sure works on the "R" as Canon has not put oyt any notice requiring new Flash for the R. I think thr major change for the "R" is the lens to image sensor distance is reduced w/o need for space for mirror causing a need for different lenses.

Answer:	VISICIO Website makes this unit, Neewer re-sales it under their brand and they put little to nothing helpful in their website, the good news is that you can find everything for this particular model (under different name) in VISICIO.com from the drivers to the spear part.

Answer:	At a Guide Number 60, measured at 6 ft and ISO 100 (as stated for another model), then theoretically this will reach 60/6= f/10 at 6 feet. So about f/4-5.6 for 12 ft, at ISO 100, remember. So at ISO 200 the distance doubles for any given f/stop. (24 ft @ f 4.5 @ ISO 200) and so on. Sounds like pretty good coverage to me. Note: Standard Guide Numbers used to be measured at 10 ft @ 100 ISO so the math for 6 ft is a little different.

Answer:	Mine has a month dial on the back of the unit. When I purchased it and before I set it up I changed the the date dial to that month, it is recommended to replace it every six months , so mine was set in July and I changed it in Dec. by that time the filter had turned black.

Answer:	Your filter is turning yellow because tobacco smoke contains pigments from the tobacco plant. No matter what goes through that filter, it's going to take on a color. You ought to replace when it's a deep color and when the carbon filter is thinned out and caked with dust and other fibers that won't come out from vacuuming. To extend your filter life you should vacuum it regularly, once a month or more depending how often the filter is turned on and how many pollutants you put through it. If you only want to buy the carbon pre-filter it will work for a while but depending on how much dust is in your environment you'll still need to replace the main filter sooner rather than later. Your best bet is to check back often and make judgement calls when needed. Hope this helps.
