Answer:	It's surprisingly even (much more than I expected) but that's because there is an internal silvery reflective baffle at the 12 o'clock position (flash entry port) that runs from the 'back to front' at about 45 degrees and allows the light to bounce around and off the 'back' of the ring-light and back out through the front. I took a photo in the mirror and at the exposure I was using there was no evidence at all of a hot spot, next time I have it out I'll try to remember to stop down and post what it looks like.

Answer:	Unhook all the magnetic rods and fold by folding opposing corners on top of each other. It's tricky, but you'll get it done.
