2 best nikon 300mm lenses

Nikon offers a variety of 300mm lenses designed for their DSLR and mirrorless camera systems. These lenses are popular among photographers for their versatility, image quality, and suitability for various types of photography, including wildlife, sports, and telephoto landscapes. Here are some key features and details about Nikon's 300mm lenses:

  1. Focal Length: Nikon's 300mm lenses have a fixed focal length of 300mm, which is considered a telephoto focal length. This provides a significant amount of reach, allowing photographers to capture distant subjects in detail.

  2. Aperture: Nikon offers 300mm lenses with different maximum apertures, typically ranging from f/2.8 to f/4. These wide apertures enable photographers to achieve excellent background blur (bokeh) and work well in low-light conditions.

  3. Vibration Reduction (VR): Many Nikon 300mm lenses come equipped with Nikon's VR technology, which helps reduce the effects of camera shake when shooting handheld. This is particularly useful for capturing sharp images at slower shutter speeds.

  4. ED and Fluorite Elements: Nikon often incorporates Extra-low Dispersion (ED) and Fluorite lens elements in their 300mm lenses to minimize chromatic aberration and enhance image clarity and sharpness.

  5. Silent Wave Motor (SWM): Nikon lenses often feature SWM for fast and quiet autofocus, which is beneficial for capturing subjects in motion, such as wildlife or sports events.

  6. Weather Sealing: Some Nikon 300mm lenses are weather-sealed, making them resistant to dust and moisture. This feature is valuable for outdoor photography in challenging conditions.

  7. Compatibility: Nikon's 300mm lenses are designed to work with both Nikon DSLR and mirrorless cameras. Adapters may be required for compatibility with certain camera models.

  8. Weight and Size: These lenses can vary in size and weight, with larger apertures typically resulting in larger and heavier lenses. Photographers should consider the portability and handling of these lenses when choosing the right one for their needs.

  9. Accessories: Nikon 300mm lenses may come with lens hoods, protective cases, and tripod collar mounts to enhance their usability and protection.

  10. Price Range: The price of Nikon's 300mm lenses can vary significantly based on factors such as aperture size, image stabilization features, and lens construction. Generally, lenses with wider apertures tend to be more expensive.

In summary, Nikon offers a range of 300mm lenses with different features and price points to cater to the diverse needs of photographers. These lenses are known for their telephoto reach, image quality, and various features that make them suitable for a wide range of photography genres.

User questions & answers

Question: Is this a VR lens
Answer: I bought the case for the iPad Air. I've had it for a couple of weeks now and I love it. You might try going to the website for the product to see if they have a model for the Mini.
Question: Will this work on the D3100 in manual mode
Answer: The main picture for this item is incorrect please see the other color pictures for the correct case design or the picture I uploaded
Question: Will this lense work on d40x
Answer: The accompanying description indicates that the screen protector is "... built in(to)..." the top part of the case. From what I remember it is glued or has a plastic "weld" that could probably be removed. In some way, however, that defeats part of the reason for buying the case. Many other cases exist without a protector
Question: what does "white box" mean
Answer: No, it does not have a built in stand.
