Answer:	Nope, it doesn't. For wide angle lenses is not common to have that feature.When in doubt, check the coding in the name. If it has an 'IS' it means it has Image Stabilization.

Answer:	I bought a Tamron 17-50mm F/2.8 a couple years ago and use it on my 70D. A couple months ago I rented this Canon 24-70. I did some testing with both, shooting the same things in various lighting conditions. I loved the Canon. It's bigger and heavier which you definitely feel if you are carrying the camera around all day. The focus is super quiet and unbelievably fast. And the images are great. But I didn't think they were very much better than what I get out of Tamron. If you are on a budget you won't go wrong with Tamron. If you have to have the best go with the Canon.

Answer:	The 22mm lens is amazing! It feels and has better build quality than the plastic primes of Canon's. Image quality is just too good. 1. Its a prime lens 2. Its F2.0 hence way better than the kit lens.

Answer:	You'll need the ~$150 EOS-M mount adapter to use the EF 40mm on the EOS-M. Personally, I haven't found the 40mm f/2.8 to be anywhere near as satisfying as using the native-mount 22mm f/2. The 22mm is excellent as a general purpose lens (it achieves a moderately wide view good for museums, landscapes, people, etc.) and performs better in low-light than the 40mm.
Question:	Where does this lens "peak" for sharpness and contrast? ie, what is the optimal aperture to stop down to? f/2.8, f/4, f
Answer:	I've shot with this lens at f/8 several times with amazing sharpness and contrast. Although I should confess that 95% of the time I'm shooting with this lens at around f/2 - f/2.8 as I usually use it to shoot at parties/events at night with my M3 (I don't take my DSLR) and I get some pretty amazing results with it.
Question:	Does the lack of image stabilization impact use in any way
Answer:	FYI - When shooting with lenses that lack IS the rule of thumb is to set the shutter speed at or above the focal length. Since the effective focal length is 35mm on a crop sensor you would set the Tv at 1/35 seconds or faster.

Answer:	No, this lens is EF-M mount, the 70D is a DSLR that uses the Canon EF and EF-S mount. The EF-M mount is for the Canon EOS M, M2, M3 and M10 cameras.

Answer:	Yes and I completely agree with NILO. The lens has a stepped front plane so in all but the rarest situations will a lens hood by needed. I've shot well over a thousand photos ( indoors and out) since purchasing this lens and I didn't need a hood.

Answer:	It's a great lens, so sharp and amazing quality. I have a canon rebel series and it works just fine on it. I use a full frame camera primarily, so it stays true to 100mm. Just keep in mind it'll be 150mm with the t5i due to its crop sensor (shouldn't matter much for macro work).

Answer:	Yes, the focus in general is louder than in a normal lens. Part of the reason is because it’s is an electrical focus system rather than mechanical (both auto and manual focus). Also, this is one of Sony’s cheapest FE lens so I wouldn’t expect much out of it. I don’t recommend this lens for cinematography. If you want a better alternative try the Sony Zeiss FE 55mm F1.8. It is very quiet and has amazing optical quality. Only issue I have with that one is “onion ring bokeh”.

Answer:	Yes this will work perfect on an APS-C camera such as the a6300 (also a6000, a6100, a6400, a6500, a6600 or any e-mount camera from Sony), but on an APS-C this is also a 50mm lense and that's it!, whatever you see through this lense on an APS-C body will be your 50mm experience and simply learn from it, don't fall into the trap of doing math to get the look and feel of a system you DON'T own (a full frame system for example), and probably you will never buy unless you get invested into photography and try to adapt your photo style into the look and feel of such a system (full frame bodies) in which case your APS-C photos would look zoomed in as if you where taking photos on a full frame system with a 75mm lense. Nobody is putting smartphone lense equivalencies or full frame equivalencies over oil paints at museums, it is irrelevant. Think about that for a moment.

Question:	What is the difference between this lens and the sony e 50mm f1.8 oss
Answer:	This supports the FE (full frame) cameras (A7x series), the E 50/1.8 OSS is for the APS-C crop bodies (NEX, A5xxx, A6xxx). Both will mechanically mount and function on any E or FE body but the E 50mm will result in a cropped image on the full frame bodies. The FE will work on any body without compromising the image - however the FE lens is a different design and has a different motor. In my experience, it is noisier and slower to focus. It should also be clear that the FE model doesn't include stabilization and relies on IBIS with the bodies which offer it. I've owned both lenses so I know them well. IMHO, the E 50/1.8 OSS is a better choice if you are using an APS-C body.

Answer:	It will, and while it is a good lens, it will not serve its main purpose on your camera; getting wide angles. This is because the wide angle is destroyed by the 1.6x crop factor on your APS-C camera. It becomes a 25-56mm lens, and that is not very wide. I would suggest one of the 2 EF-S lenses made for APS-C cameras, either the EF-S 10-18mm F4.5-5.6 IS STM (280 USD), or the EF-S 10-22mm F3.5-4.5 USM (650 USD). For the most part, these are both good lenses, but only one cost over twice the price for not twice the lens. I could list all the main differences, but I will cut to the chase; for my money, the 10-18mm is the better choice in almost all applications. I have a good review of it if you want to check it out, but the main break down is that all the “advantages” of the 10-22mm are negligible, not really worth the extra 370 bucks. And the 10-18mm has IS, which compensates for the narrower aperture.

Answer:	The 15-85 is an excellent lens very sharp only downside is the apparatus. I sold it eventually to get the Sigma 17-50 f2.8 fixed aperture to use with my crop body Canon 60D. Missed the extra reach at the 50 to 85mm end a little but was nice to have the 2.8 when needed.

Answer:	Depends on how wide you want to go. 7D with 16-35 is 25-56 with crop factor, not as wide. The 10-22 EFS would give you a true 16-35 but it cannot be used on full frame if you ever upgrade. I have both and they are stunning lenses.

Answer:	This is one of my favorite primes that I own. It not only has a really nice bokeh, and great contrast and color rendering. But it also has a very flattering perspective. It also makes most peoples faces look a bit better. Something about 85mm makes the face a little skinnier, while also compressing the area that is in focus a bit. It's heavier than most other 'Ultrasonic' EF primes. But this just makes it balance well on a 5D, 6D or 7D. Until you step up to L series you will have to deal with a bit of chromatic aberation and vignetting. Though that is a simple task if shooting raw. The 50mm is a bit more natural perspective compared to 85. But you also have to get right up on a subject with it. The 85 lets you get a similar shot from a few more feet away, which makes the subject more comfortable.

(FWIW, in my environment I've never had an issue-- and I have a meter, but it may depend on which pollutants are in your air)
