Answer:	The TZ40 I purchased here was apparently sent from Japan, and the menu was only in Japanese. I sent it back, since I do not read Japanese. The same camera model is called ZS30 in North America, and I assume it will have a menu in English - and possibly other languages. It did not explain anywhere - and I have not seen it mentioned in any reviews - that the model named TZ40 has only a Japanese menu, but that certainly was the case with the camera I received. I would be leary of ordering this camera for that reason.

Question:	Does this camera use a standard micro USB, or is it one of those pain-in-the-rear proprietary ports
Answer:	It is smaller than the standard B micro used for cellphones and suchlike. I'm not sure that it's proprietary, but it is supplied with the camera (with all the recent-vintage pocket Lumix cameras--I've had three) and is available separately from Panasonic and, I think, from large camera stores where the Lumix is sold. The parts number for ordering from Panasonic is K1HY08YY0031
Question:	Hello, how to make blured background (defocus) with this camera? Searching through google wasn't helpfull
Answer:	Extend the lens as far as it will go, set the largest aperture at that focal length, and WALK you and the camera to the minimum focusing distance. Make sure the background is several feet behind the subject. You're all set! - for blurry, out of focus backgrounds!
Question:	The physical size of the panasonic dmc-zs50k lumix 30x seems rather large and bulky -why- or is that a typo ? item dimensions 2.09 x 5.31 x 5.35 inches
Answer:	Those dimensions are not accurate, we're not sure how they ended up on the item page. The actual dimensions of the camera as per Panasonic are:4.4 x 2.5 x 1.4 in. (110.6 x 64.3 x 34.4mm)

Question:	Does it have a date stamp
Answer:	A date stamp on picture yes but not a date stamp on the file itself. I'm running Window 10 and need to use Corel PaintShop Pro to add date, etc. to the JPG file.

Answer:	Nothing designated mic jack, although it does have digital audio/video out

Answer:	Quality is pretty good for pictures. If you are doing 360 video, the quality is decent during the day, but at night it suffers pretty bad. Reminds me of an old webcam or videos from an old flip phone.
Question:	Any way to turn off the auto-off feature? Every time I disconnect the power cable camera shuts off automatically
Answer:	I think it is something they will fix with upcoming updates. The camera just works in two modes: battery or cable, and cannot switch from the later to the other automatically.

Answer:	This sentence is taken directly from the users manual. (A memory card (microSD / microSDHC) is optional and is not included in the product package. It needs to be purchased separately. Please use an original memorycard which is Class 6 or higher and has a capacity of 4GB to 32GB.)
