12 best nikon mega zoom cameras

Nikon Mega Zoom cameras are a specific category of digital cameras produced by Nikon. These cameras are designed to offer powerful zoom capabilities, making them ideal for capturing distant subjects and a wide range of photographic scenarios. Here's what you should know about Nikon Mega Zoom cameras:

  1. High Zoom Range: Nikon Mega Zoom cameras are known for their impressive zoom capabilities. They typically feature a superzoom lens that offers an extensive optical zoom range. This allows you to zoom in on distant subjects without compromising image quality.

  2. Versatility: These cameras are versatile and suitable for various photography situations, including wildlife photography, sports events, travel photography, and more. The ability to capture both wide-angle and telephoto shots makes them adaptable to different shooting conditions.

  3. Image Stabilization: Nikon often equips Mega Zoom cameras with image stabilization technology. This helps reduce camera shake, ensuring sharper images when shooting at high zoom levels, especially in low-light conditions.

  4. Image Quality: Nikon strives to maintain good image quality in Mega Zoom cameras. While the image quality may not match that of high-end DSLR cameras, it is often more than sufficient for most users' needs, especially in well-lit conditions.

  6. Ease of Use: Nikon designs Mega Zoom cameras to be user-friendly, with automatic shooting modes and intuitive controls. They are often favored by photographers who want the convenience of a point-and-shoot camera with the added benefit of a powerful zoom.

  7. Electronic Viewfinder (EVF): Some Mega Zoom models come with an electronic viewfinder, which can be useful for composing shots in bright sunlight or for more precise framing.

  8. Connectivity: Many Nikon Mega Zoom cameras are equipped with connectivity options such as Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, allowing for easy sharing of photos and remote camera control via a smartphone or tablet.

  9. Price Range: Mega Zoom cameras are available at various price points, with basic models being more affordable and advanced models with additional features commanding a higher price.

Nikon's Mega Zoom cameras are an excellent choice for photographers who want the flexibility of a powerful zoom lens without the complexity of interchangeable lenses found in DSLR or mirrorless cameras. User questions & answers

Question: Is the insane optical zoom a bit of a gimmick
Answer: The Nikon Coolpix 520 has a "Night Mode" option. Just choose the "Scene Selector then choose the "Night Portrait Mode."
Question: When will the p900 be available on Amazon
Answer: Yes, the camera records in MP4 format, but for more information visit http://techexperience.net/go/nikon/
Question: Does is shoot RAW
Answer: The Sports setting is a sub-setting of Scene mode, in which the camera makes most decisions for you and leaves you with limited ability to change the settings. With Sports, the P520 sets itself for continuous shooting in a burst of 7 shots. If you want to have more than 7 shots in a sequence, you would have to use a different shooting mode, such as Program, and then select continuous shooting from the Shooting menu, choosing the L option for up to 30 shots at high quality but lower speed, or one of the super-high-speed options for 60 shots at a very fast speed, but much lower quality. The monitor goes black because there is not enough time to keep refreshing it with the live view during the continuous shooting.
Question: Can you live stream with this camera
Answer: no raw

User questions & answers

Question: does this have a macro setting
Answer: Not that I am aware of
Question: does this camera have date stamp feature
Answer: Yes, it does have a date stamp feature.
Question: is battery rechargable
Answer: IT uses standars AA batteries. However, since small cameras like this usually "eat" batteries, I usually try to find a 4-pack of rechargeables that come with a small charger. This way I always have freshly charged batteries at the ready. Just a suggestion. The charger and batteries may cost yo around $10-$15, but replacing standard batteries over time will cost you that in a few months anyway..
Question: How do you download photos to print
Answer: On the bottom of the camera there is a small black rubber tab that says A/V out, it twists around to let you plug in the usb cord to attach to your computer/laptop/notebook or whatever. Hope that answers your question.

User questions & answers

Question: Does it come with a re-chargeable battery? Beside just the camera what else is included
Answer: did you put the eyepiece in the viewer? Also, try using the lowest magnification, the 20X, then once you focus on the moon, yu can try using the 30X or 40X. The stronger the magnification, the harder it is to focus. This is a very poor quality telescope, a toy. Very hard to keep steady. I wouldn't ever recommend buying it..
Question: Has anybody else had the problem where it just dies on you and you try everything to make it work but nothing does
Answer: Sorry it was a gift to grandson and don't know if he has had it out where it might get wet?
Question: Does this camera take good pictures in low light? What about the picture quality when you are in low light using the zoom? Especially indoors
Answer: you can't see anything as it is a terrible telescope. Send it back if you can,and pay more and get something of a better quality. The tripod is awful, it is not able to steady the telecpoe enough to be able focus on the moon. If you fiddle with it for long enough, you may be able to see the moon for a few seconds, until it veers away due to not being very steady. SEND IT BACK, IT IS JUNK...WORTHLESS
Question: Does it have a rechargeable battery
Answer: Is this a good choice as a first telescope for an eight year old ?

User questions & answers

Question: Just purchased coolpix s4100 but no manual. How can i get one? Need all the help i can get...novice
Answer: Yes there's a specific setting for that shooting mode.
Question: Does it have a burst
Answer: It was being sold by Target for $99 on Black Friday...
Question: does it have date time stamp
Answer: Dear WilliamThere is much written about photographing the northern lights (admittedly by people a lot more knowledgeable than me). Whilst the Nikon Coolpix L330 may be used, most experts would probably not recommend it. Here's an indication of what you will probably need (not exhaustive list): - Tripod - Aperture: an f-stop of f/2.8 or faster (e.g. f/2.0) especially for night photography. You can compensate with higher ISO. The Nikon Coolpix L330 has an aperture of f/3.1-5.9 which is not ideal. - ISO: ISO setting of 400, 800 or 1600 is probably right. The L330 has an ISO of 80-1600 (auto). Generally the L330 is thin on manual functionality - Wide angle: The L330 has a lens of 4-104mm which is a fairly wide angled lens. However, this may come at some compromise to image quality- sharpness, chromatic aberration, distortion, bokeh, and several aspects of image quality. - Cable release - Chemical hand warmers - Headlamp - Flash cards that can cope with low temperature eg Sandisk "Extreme" rangeThere are a number of cameras that will be more suitable but will be more expensive. Depending on your budget, I wil be happy to make some suggestions (in and out of the Nikon range). The Northern Lights are quite spectacular and very few people get a chance to photograph them. You're going to be envy of many of us!Kind RegardsmyZohan
Question: can i delete a picture on my nikon 4100 without putting the sd card in my computer
Answer: I would say it's excellent for a beginner. I have read other reviews that say it's not good for fast action/sports, and that focus on zoom takes a few seconds and are blurry photos at times, but if you brace camera on a tripod or fence, etc, and wait for focus, you should do well with far away mountains or anything distant. I learned with a manual 35 mm camera, and this is definitely better, it takes a lot of thought out of setting up a shot while still getting good results. I definitely think you would enjoy using it.

User questions & answers

Question: What is included
Answer: The camera, lens cover, a strap to hang it around your neck, and the cord with a USB end to hook up to your computer! Hope this helped :)
Question: how does it do with upclose pictures
Answer: Close up pictures are absolutely true to life. There is one small shortcoming with this camera though - not a defect - just an irritant. If you power up the camera without taking off the lens cover, it gives a 'lens error'. Only way is to put off and put on the camera again. Hopefully its a software issue that they can fix.
Question: Will this upload pictures to a computer via wifi? How? Extra software or app
Answer: Yes, it will upload via wifi, if you have a wifi connection. It simply searches and connects, no extra software needed to upload. However, to edit the pictures, based on what software you currently have, you may need to add software to do that. But to simply upload, all you do is set to wifi and connect, really easy.
Question: Can you adjust the aperture and shutter speed with this camera
Answer: Actually, it does not have manual settings. You can change the scene mode, which will change aperture and shutter settings, but even then, the camera chooses for you. The lack of manual settings is my biggest complaint with the camera. I know what I want the camera to do, but I can't get it to do it.

Product description

Functional beauty in an alluringly slim body. Packing sophisticated style, advanced functions and high performance into its ultra-slim design, the Coolpix S210 fits comfortably in the hand and simplifies operation.

Coolpix S210 Highlights

VR image stabilization Compensating for the effects of camera shake to realize sharper results, electronic VR image stabilization frees you to enjoy capturing special moments without worrying about slight hand movements, particularly in lower light conditions.

ISO 2000 capability Light sensitivity range up to ISO 2000 allows the use of faster shutter speeds to avoid blurred results when shooting moving subjects or in locations with insuffi cient lighting. ISO sensitivity is automatically optimized in High-Sensitivity mode.

Coolpix Premium Features

Coolpix in-camera technologies give you the edge when it comes to taking beautiful pictures more easily and with greater enjoyment. Included are innovative functions that increase shooting opportunities in a broader range of situations, help to optimize images, and add a new dimension of fun to sharing those results.

VR image stabilization Nikon Coolpix cameras offer an array of VR technologies that produce blur-free images when shooting in unsteady conditions or at slower shutter speeds. Selected models are equipped with one of two types of Optical VR, Lens Shift VR, which delivers sharp and steady images effective for shooting and faster framing with the LCD, or Image Sensor Shift VR, which moves the image sensor to accurately compensate for camera shake. Other models offer Electronic VR which applies movement data to image processing to turn blurred images into beautifully clear results.

Better pictures in lower light Selected Coolpix models offer ISO capability beyond the range of conventional digital compacts. An exciting advantage that greatly increases photographic possibilities, high ISO capability delivers excellent exposure in challenging conditions, broadens the scope of possible subjects and allows scenes to be captured beautifully without compromising natural light.

Face-priority AF Available only with Nikon Coolpix cameras, the clever Face-priority AF function helps ensure satisfyingly crisp portraits no matter where the subject is in the shot. By automatically detecting people's faces in the frame, the photographer is free to press the shutter for sharp portraits with focus exactly where it's wanted.

D-Lighting Only Nikon delivers the advantage of D-Lighting, a unique technology with the ability to rescue underexposed images or shots taken with excessive backlight. Accessible in Playback mode, this innovative feature automatically creates a copy of the image, adding light and detail added where necessary, while leaving correctly-exposed areas untouched. As a result, images are significantly improved in a manner that is much more natural looking.

In-camera red-eye fix Coolpix cameras offer refined red-eye reduction capability that surpasses other digital compacts. First, a series of pre-flashes stimulate the subject’s pupils, causing them to constrict. The camera then analyzes the captured image for the remaining presence of red eyes, automatically correcting them in-camera before saving the image to memory.

  • 8.1-megapixel resolution for stunning prints as large as 16 x 20 inches
  • 3x optical zoom; Electronic VR image stabilization
  • 2.5-inch, high-resolution LCD
  • In-Camera Red-Eye Fix; enhanced Face-Priority AF automatically focuses on up to 12 faces
  • Capture images to SD memory card (not included)

Answer: No, and the JPEG photo quality is that of iPhone 5s. Consider Panasonic LX20. Far better for $300 more. Even challenges Sony RX100 V, which is fragile lens design. LX20 and this Canon are better built.
Question: Would this be a good camera to use for concerts in low light
Answer: I bought the Canon G7X in 2015 because I wanted a point and shoot that was good in low light situations. The ISO goes up to 12800. The G7X is wonderful! I've used it in concerts and also numerous times for shows in the main theatre on cruises. My friends told me I couldn't take photos as flash was not allowed-no problem with my camera. Photos turned out great! There are newer versions now to the G7X. I've been happy with mine-worth the money.

Nikon Coolpix S3000 Feature Highlights

EXPEED digital imaging technology

Nikon's smarter approach to digital imaging technology. From image capture to processing, Nikon's comprehensive EXPEED digital imaging concept encompasses the entire picture-taking operation. EXPEED is much more than a processing engine; it is a revolution in digital photography.

Four advanced image stabilizing features* help ensure sharper results

Nikon Coolpix Digital Camera highlights
Nikon's Electronic VR image stabilization compensates for the effects of camera shake. Motion Detection automatically controls shutter speed and the ISO setting to compensate for subject movement as well as camera shake. ISO 3200 capability allows faster shutter speeds when shooting in low light or capturing fast-moving subjects. And, Nikon's original BSS (Best Shot Selector) function automatically shoots a series of sequential frames and saves the one with the sharpest focus.

* The camera selects and uses only the features required to optimize each image.

Intelligent automation contributes to carefree shooting

Nikon's Scene Auto Selector eliminates the need to manually select a scene mode to match the shot, and this makes it faster and easier to capture the moment in beautiful fashion. The Coolpix S3000 uses this intelligent function to analyze the subject and its surrounding settings and automatically selects the most appropriate of the following six scene modes to achieve optimal results--Portrait, Landscape, Night Portrait, Night Landscape, Close-up, or Backlight.

Nikon's exclusive Smart Portrait System

Nikon Coolpix Digital Camera highlights
Automatically detecting as many as 12 faces in the shot, Face-priority AF helps produce satisfying portraits by adjusting focus and exposure. Smile Timer automatically releases the shutter when the priority subject smiles and offers the Blink Proof function, which automatically shoots two sequential frames and saves the one in which the subject's eyes are open-wide. Now featuring faster processing speed, In-Camera Red-Eye Fix automatically corrects perceived red-eye effect before saving the image to memory.

Subject Tracking

Subject tracking automatically detects a human face and then continues to track and focus on that subject. Particularly useful when capturing children as they move naturally, Subject Tracking even functions if the subject moves out of the frame and returns within three seconds.

User questions & answers

Question: Is it possible to buy a viewfinder? and do I need to purchase a memory stick separately
Answer: There is a switch on the back of the camera towards the top, above the display screen, if you switch it the flash will pop up and then it should work since there is a sensor on it, and if it doesn't work right away I noticed that if you pull the switch again (while the flash is up) you can basically toggle the flash on and off while it's in the up position. The flash on this camera is not exposed, it is a pop up, so unless the flash was up to begin with and still wasn't working, you probably just had your flash in the off position. For a better explanation you can take a look in your Nikon Manual, go to the index, and search flash. There should be all you need to know right there.Hope I helped :)
Question: Is the battery included
Answer: The Nikon L series cameras, including this L620 camera, use AA alkaline batteries.
Question: where is zoom button Nikkon s
Answer: The manual is online. You can print it out.
Question: ALL I CAN GET TO COME UP IS LENS ERROR
Answer: A continuous shooting? Yes.
