Answer:	No, it probably maxes out between 50 and 200X magnification. At 1000X magnification, you would need to immerse the light path in oil to prevent refraction of light causing blurring of the image. You would also be able to see bacterial cells at that magnification, and none of the review images come remotely close to displaying that level of magnifying power.

Question:	Can you use it to do a pan picture
Answer:	Panoramic shooting is not mentioned in the manual, and there does not appear to be a selection in the camera's functions to achieve it. You can probably still get that result with third-party external software on a PC by taking the sequence of shots to stitch together, but Canon does not provide it.

Amazon says screen is 5". Unless my visual capabilities are way off. No way it's 5" ... maybe 3

Question:	Can i connect this camera to my computer with a usb
Answer:	I have just purchased two of these (Elph 180). The first thing I noticed is that Canon has not improved the access door (battery/ sd card slot) in the many years since I had my first point& shoot Canon. (I have a canon rebel too - different story) The reason I am telling you this is that I urge you to buy a cable to download your shots, and clear the SD card from your camera. Every time you open and shut this little door, the weaker it becomes. Eventually you will be forced to tape the door shut to use the camera. I did this for years because I loved the camera. Finally I just got tired of it and bought the rebel. If the only time you have to open the door is to charge the battery, you will extend the usable life of the door HUGELY. As with most technology today, it's longevity depends on its weakest point. One of the two I purchased is for a 12 yr. old - I bought cables for both of us. My opinion: It's worth it because Canon still makes the best lenses.

Answer:	I don`t think so. But you`ll know if it`s on. When it`s on, the lens moves way out. When it`s off, it retracts, so the camera is flat. It would be very hard to forget to turn the camera off, or forget you left it on.

Answer:	I bought the Canon G7X in 2015 because I wanted a point and shoot that was good in low light situations. The ISO goes up to 12800. The G7X is wonderful! I've used it in concerts and also numerous times for shows in the main theatre on cruises. My friends told me I couldn't take photos as flash was not allowed-no problem with my camera. Photos turned out great! There are newer versions now to the G7X. I've been happy with mine-worth the money.

HD output

When you need to output the image and sound of the camera to the TV, you can use the high-definition cable that comes with the machine. Plug one end (small end) of the HD cable into the HD port of the camera, and then connect the other port (big end) of the HD cable to the HD interface of the TV (as shown in the figure below). Please stop recording before inserting / removing the HD cable. (Note: the HD function of this machine has the output function only, not input function.)

Download photo/video files

Insert one end (small end) of the USB cable into the USB interface of the camera, and connect the other end (big end) to the USB interface of the computer. Then turn on the camera, and press the OK key to select the "memory" option on the camera screen. The computer can recognize the files in the SD card of the camera. You can browse or download photos and videos. If you select the "camera" option, enter the video interface.

Answer:	Jacob,We wouldn't recommend any attempt at imaging with that telescope unless you have it equipped with the optional clock drive. Even if that were the case, it has only 900mm focal length which isn't really adequate for planetary imaging. In general terms it does not make a lot of sense to add a $200 accessory to a telescope than only cost $280 to begin with. We suggest that you save your money and save up for a better telescope on a driven equatorial mount. Answer:	Yes, I had upgraded my new laptop to Windows 10 before I started using it. It worked just fine. The software was designed for use with Windows 7 or Vista, but when Windows is updated to new versions typically older programs will continue to work with the newer version of Windows. It might even work with Windows XP, if anyone still runs that. You may have to update the Registax and iCap programs, which are installed from the CD that comes with the camera. But, updating the software is pretty easy if you have an internet connection.
