Answer:	This camcorder has a 43mm filter thread for you to attach filters.
Question:	How much better than the
Answer:	I've owned both the R700 & this R800 and the only difference I can find is the R800 records MP4 video only. There might be some difference in the settings, but I'm not sure of that. The R800 "seems" to be a 'little' better in low light, but not much (if any). You're getting a newer model camera. But if you already have an R700 and you are satisfied, don't waste your money.

Answer:	Yes. We use it to record lacrosse and setup kn the center line and pan the whole field. The clarity is very good.
Question:	Does this camera have a wireless microphone jack
Answer:	Any wireless microphone has a transmitter built into the mic, and a receiver that you plug in to the camcorder. This cam has jacks for microphones, so by definition it has jacks for wireless mic. Both XLR and 1/8" pin.
Question:	will this camera be good for recording in a dark room/bar or club
Answer:	It will be about as good as a new iPhone. The lens is pretty good in low light. It has infrared mode for shooting in complete darkness, but the subject needs to be within 10 feet or so.
Question:	I see this camera has a holder for a microphone. Is that holder for a microphone that comes with the XA
Answer:	There is only a built in microphone with the XA 11; this holder is for other external microphones.

Answer:	Every other GoPro supports auto rotation so I would assume this one does as well.
Question:	If you took a video in the 360 mode at 5.6K/30fps (for a vlog for example) could you export it as a 16:9 video at the same 5.6K/30fps via reframing
Answer:	You may be able to frame the 360 video it in such a way that the point of view is fixed like the traditional 16:9 video, but it is not going to be an actual 16:9 video.

Answer:	A date stamp on picture yes but not a date stamp on the file itself. I'm running Window 10 and need to use Corel PaintShop Pro to add date, etc. to the JPG file.

Answer:	It's a good vlogging camera. Audio is good for that. You can't plug in an external mic though. Major missing feature if you want directional sound I use this with the GH4

Answer:	Yes EF-S works on it. Putting an EF-S lens on means it’s no longer full frame though. It will automatically crop in 1.6x (from full frame, so it will still feel like the 35 you’re used to). Doable, but far from optimal performance of the EOS R’s sensor.

Answer:	I just bought the RP, love it. Yes, you can use Canon EF-S lenses with one of the 3 optional EF adapters. But note that EF-S lenses are made for smaller APS-C sized sensors (the RP is a full-frame 24x36mm sensor) so it will give you only 10.1 mp images with EF-S lenses. Why: it just crops out the unused area around your EF-S APS-C-sized images. For some native Canon lenses, it will choose this smaller 10.1mp crop size automatically. For non-Canon lenses, you can choose "1.6x crop." I tested this with two of my old Sigma APS-C lenses (ancient c. 2009 10-20mm and 18-200mm zooms) and autofocus and image stabilization do work great with the RP. if you want 24mp images with your old lenses, keep your 6ti (a great lightweight backup camera). Hope that helps, happy shooting whatever you end up using!

Answer:	During pre-order the adapter and grip were for free, right know you need to pay them.
Question:	Will this work with my canon ef 50mm f/1.8 stm lens? and is this camera good for portraits
Answer:	Yes. All video is cropped to some extent because it is in a different aspect ratio. In addition, the 4K doesn't use the full width of the sensor. This is really more of a camera for stills shooters. The video is more of an extra feature.
Question:	Is this the best 4K camera for now? Also, why is it cheap
Answer:	I just got the RP and Dennis explains the EF-S limitations perfectly. Two notes to add: 1) The result of this cropping is that your image size with EF-S (APS-C) lenses will be only ~10.1 megapixels (less than a modern smartphone camera or the old 2003 Canon 10D!). 2) With my old 2009 Sigma "DC" mount lenses (Sigma's designation for EF-S/APS-C compatible lenses), the RP will not automatically choose "1.6x crop," so I have to do it manually (it's an option in the "image format/aspect-ratio" menu). Otherwise, I do get the black vignetting around the image.

Question:	Can i connect this camera to my computer with a usb
Answer:	I have just purchased two of these (Elph 180). The first thing I noticed is that Canon has not improved the access door (battery/ sd card slot) in the many years since I had my first point& shoot Canon. (I have a canon rebel too - different story) The reason I am telling you this is that I urge you to buy a cable to download your shots, and clear the SD card from your camera. Every time you open and shut this little door, the weaker it becomes. Eventually you will be forced to tape the door shut to use the camera. I did this for years because I loved the camera. Finally I just got tired of it and bought the rebel. If the only time you have to open the door is to charge the battery, you will extend the usable life of the door HUGELY. As with most technology today, it's longevity depends on its weakest point. One of the two I purchased is for a 12 yr. old - I bought cables for both of us. My opinion: It's worth it because Canon still makes the best lenses.
Question:	Does this have an automatic shutoff If I forget to turn it off
Answer:	I don`t think so. But you`ll know if it`s on. When it`s on, the lens moves way out. When it`s off, it retracts, so the camera is flat. It would be very hard to forget to turn the camera off, or forget you left it on.

Answer:	Does this camera come with a charger? It says it comes with a rechargeable battery but it isn’t saying anything about a charger. And from looking at other people’s comments I’m thinking it doesn’t come with a charger. So if not then what are you suppose to do cause it’s not regular batteries it’s the rectangle flat battery
