The *Early Notification* Beta setting alerts you within 5 seconds of motion detection, and you can access the Live View from your phone and choose whether you'd like to keep the live view clip. The live view clip then saves for as long as you'd like to continuously watch (which you'll be prompted to do), otherwise, you'll recorded clip will only be as long as you sell it to be(upto 60 seconds) with a cool down of 10seconds between clips with motion. Also, you can toggle whether you want it to stop recording 2seconds after motion end, or allow it to always record for the triggered clip length. I purchased mine mid- December 2020, and it works amazingly.

Answer:	Some people consider the D3400 a better camera than the D3500 due to the elimination of the "Function" button on the front of the camera that was accessible with the photographer's left hand that allows the ISO setting to be changer with the right thumb wheel while looking through the viewfinder. Also the IR remote shutter control was eliminated. I believe from what I read that all this was done to reduce the size (the body is the same as the D5600) and weight of the camera, improve battery life, and reduce manufacturing cost. Nikon does have a free app for your smart phone, SnapBridge App, that allows your smart phone to act as a remote shutter control and can automatically send your pictures (reduced resolution) to your smart phone. So to answer your question - I don't believe the the D3500 is an upgrade or a downgrade to the D3400 just the next in their line of "Beginner" DSLR Cameras.

HOW TO LINK WIFI WITH PHONE OR TABLET

1. If your device is iOS system, you can go to the Apple Store directly to download and install the 'XDV' app program; if you have an Android system, you can go to the Google Store to download the program.

Question:	How much does the Cloud Storage cost after the trial? Doesn't matter how cheap the cam is if the cloud is exorbitant
Answer:	If you think the cost of cloud storage is high, you can view the free image storage or use the SD card to view the playback record. The SD card records a 1-minute video per 1 minute, when the SD card storage space is full, the old storage data will be overwritten (loop coverage)
Question:	None of the photos show a cord. How is this powered
Answer:	This camera comes with an adapter
Question:	Can the micro-sd card video files be read through a usb cable connected to the camera
Answer:	Considering security and privacy issues, the computer can't directly obtain the SD information by USB line. You can view the SD card video by "Review" on the APP, or copy the content of the SD card to the computer to view.

Answer:	Only if there's insurance on it , but it also depends on how long you've had it too. If you've had it for months I don't think that you can replace it but Amazon is really good with working with it's customer's . Question:	Do you have to have the subscription, or will it work and save clips with your other blink devices
Answer:	You are able to add the New Blink Indoor and/or Blink Outdoor to an existing Blink System. Answer:	My daughter has installed several of these cameras in her business. She was recently broken in the middle of the night into and the camera that she had pointed directly at the glass door showed the burglar outside on the patio and they caught the break in clearly. With the help of that camera showing the door being forced and other cameras throughout the business, the alarm on her phone allowed her to call the police even before the alarm company did. They caught the would be thief within minutes.

Answer:	Cable end connected to the Mini Camera is Micro USB, and the other end connected to the power source (any phone charger) is USB-A.

Answer:	Nothing is 100% secure, what you need to do is balance the risk vs reward. MOST people will NEVER be hacked or have any issues.. maybe .. 1-2% will. My opinion only, I can not speak or influence anyone. If networks are secured and have passwords etc.. hacking is very rare and I have not had any issues with it so far.

Question:	How long does the battery last with one charge
Answer:	Have 5 placed outside, 3 most active get 15-25 Alerts a day. Other 2, only 3-5 a day. After 4 months 58-82% shown on battery life of 5 camera. Thought battery would discharge faster from some reviews, so got couple spares. Now just waiting to see when get below 30%, then will switch out.
Question:	Why can I not setup motion zones for alerts? (can do this with the newest indoor model) Only get a pie shaped "range." Will this problem be fixed
Answer:	I have inquired about the same issues. You can do a pie, and then exclude any of the 3 zones of the pie, but apparently, they took away the most useful functionality of their entire system. The new camera only allows the arc to go 1/2 of the view range making the usefulness limited at best. Support has reached out to try to “help” but in lieu of a software or hardware change, I’m not sure what can be done to rectify the situation short of getting a Gen 2 camera with the better controls.
Question:	If you use the camera indoors, is there a way to turn off the camera while you are home
Answer:	Two things: 1) If you plan on ONLY using it indoors, then go with the NEW cheaper $60 Ring camera. It is intended for indoor use only AND still uses the old motions zones instead of the motion arch. Plus it offers all the same benefits as this camera (except it is indoor use only). 2) I too had a similar question when I purchased the new Ring Indoor camera for $60. My solution was to purchase an Amazon Smart Plug. Then, in the Alexa app I an event to at a specific time to turn the smart plug on and a second event to turn it off. I don't need the camera on when I'm home and I wanted a way to automate the process. Question:	Can i connect this camera to my computer with a usb
Answer:	I have just purchased two of these (Elph 180). The first thing I noticed is that Canon has not improved the access door (battery/ sd card slot) in the many years since I had my first point& shoot Canon. (I have a canon rebel too - different story) The reason I am telling you this is that I urge you to buy a cable to download your shots, and clear the SD card from your camera. Every time you open and shut this little door, the weaker it becomes. Eventually you will be forced to tape the door shut to use the camera. I did this for years because I loved the camera. Finally I just got tired of it and bought the rebel. If the only time you have to open the door is to charge the battery, you will extend the usable life of the door HUGELY. As with most technology today, it's longevity depends on its weakest point. One of the two I purchased is for a 12 yr. old - I bought cables for both of us. My opinion: It's worth it because Canon still makes the best lenses.
Question:	Does this have an automatic shutoff If I forget to turn it off
Answer:	I don`t think so. But you`ll know if it`s on. When it`s on, the lens moves way out. When it`s off, it retracts, so the camera is flat. It would be very hard to forget to turn the camera off, or forget you left it on.
Question:	Do you have to remove the battery from the camera in order to charge it
Answer:	Does this camera come with a charger? It says it comes with a rechargeable battery but it isn’t saying anything about a charger. And from looking at other people’s comments I’m thinking it doesn’t come with a charger. So if not then what are you suppose to do cause it’s not regular batteries it’s the rectangle flat battery
