Answer:	This is a ladies size hammer that has done everything I need it to do. I don't have a tape measure handle but it is 10-12 inches long. It is not super heavy so I can handle it. I love it.

From face of hammer to end of claws ( measured over the curve ) is 4 plus inches ( close to 5 really ). Not a house construction hammer but looks like a good tool for household use.
