The K1000 is an almost-all metal, mechanically (springs, gears, levers) controlled, manual-focus SLR with manual-exposure control. It is completely operable without batteries. Batteries are only required (one A76 or S76, or LR44 or SR44) for the light metering information system. This consists of a centre-the-needle exposure control system using a galvanometer needle pointer moving between vertically arranged +/– over/underexposure markers at the right side of the viewfinder to indicate the readings of the built-in full-scene averaging, cadmium sulfide (CdS)battery light meter versus the actual camera settings. The meter does not have a true on/off switch and the lens cap must be attached to the lens to prevent draining the K1000's battery when it is not in use. The K1000 uses a horizontal travel, rubberized silk cloth focal plane shutter with a speed range of 1/1000 second to 1 second, along with Bulb and a flash X-sync of 1/60 second. It is 91.4 millimetres tall, 143 mm wide, and 48 mm deep, and weighs 620 grams. Answer:	I don't worry about the camera body itself - but I do worry if I'm using a non-weather sealed lens about the lens itself. I've shot in sleet/snow/driving rain for football games, and I've been to some brutal ones with my KP and my Tamron 70-200 f/2.8. The combination was wonderful, though I did purchase an Altura rain hood, which worked fantastic, though I cut hole in the back so I could see the viewfinder better through the vinyl window. I didn't need the weather sealing there since it was a) up to my eye most of the time and (b) the lens was covered, it was just the back with the viewfinder and the LCD screen that was exposed. (it worked great by the way... and I got some fantastic shots at that game too, during a goal line stand, friday night high school football. It was great. That said, I've been out with the KP and my 55mm f/1.4 in the rain doing shots around my city - but I've preferred still to keep something with me to keep water from directly hitting it. I've even used the sleeve of an old fleece sweatshirt that seems to repel water for long enough to get shots I want, then pull it off. Works out well, and less for me to dry after. After all, I don't want water drops on the front of the lens (hard to fix those in post for night shots..) and all that.

Answer:	It's about like the K-30; you have to get one of Pentax's magnesium body models (k-5, K-3, K-1) to get that nice quiet shutter.

Answer:	Any K mount lens will fit, but you will have to set the aperture manually on M series lenses and older. Series A lenses will work in fully auto mode. You have to set the aperture ring to the A setting, and set the camera to work with non-auto focus lenses. FA lenses (which were designed for full frame 35mm) will work as well as brand new lenses. DFA lenses are designed to work with crop-sensor DSLRs such as this one.

Question:	What type of lenses fit
Answer:	It is not spelled out in the specs well but all of my SMC Pentax-A and Pentax-M lenses work, as well as all the screw drive focus lenses that worked on the K-3. The K-1 II does indeed have a focus drive motor in camera for those screw drive versions. My Pentax FA 100mm macro lens is the screw drive version and it focuses much faster on the K-1 II than it did on the K-3 II. Virtually any K mount lens will work....it just also means that the older manual focus lenses will need to be manually focused but the focus assist works very well in the K-i II. Also, with the non electronic lenses (no electrical contacts) you will need to tell the camera which focal length you just attached (it will ask you as soon as you turn on the camera).
Question:	Is the 28-105 lens a full frame lens
Answer:	Yes. It was released at the same time as the original K-1 in 2016. It's my everyday lens for my K-1. Works fine. I shoot ~60,000 photos/year. Be sure to get a CPL/Circular Polarizer Filter for it, especially if you shoot anything outdoors. I've used a CPL since the early 1980's.

Answer:	The mounts ae the same, so it should work with a cropped image since your K-3 lenses are not full frame. I would check Tamron's website to make sure that there is no problem with the K-1 because Sigma had three of their lenses that were causing scrapes on the mounting ring of the K-1. Unfortunately, I remember at that time that there were about 20 sources for the K30 kit on Amazon, some stated WR, some did not. I got one that stated WR and received it. I think you need to question seller about this to be sure.
