Answer:	Yes, I removed the unit from the stand and raised it as high as I could go, limited by the cable that powers the LEDs. This was about 32 inches and I was able to focus it well. You might be able to go higher if you use an external light source.

Question:	Where can the software be downloaded? dvd appears blank and zero english paperwork. zero paperwork regardless of language
Answer:	I installed the drivers off of the small disk and the unit worked fine on windows 8. The mesurment software did not work for me though. You access the device through what ever program you use for your web cam. Cant remember the name on windows 8 but you should have software pre intsalled that will do it you just have to change the active device from your webcam to the microscope in the programs options...
Question:	The picture shows the camera pointed at an angle. Doesn't the camera need to be normal to the surface to focus well
Answer:	You can angle the camera any way you like. To focus the image, you zoom in or out with the zoom control and move the camera closer to the subject the more you increase the zoom.
