Question:	what is the maximum width of the mobile device that can be mounted
Answer:	It’s wide enough for my phone which is 6.5in wide or 16cm. The main thing is to be aware of which side your phone camera is on. If the camera is on the right side of the phone, then you might need to tinker a bit to make it work, but doable.
Question:	Is this product compatible with iphone
Answer:	I have a Samsung Galaxy S10, wich appears to be a little larger than the iPhone 10, so, yes, it should work. Keep in mind this adapter is a little finicky to get situated, but once you get the hang of aligning your phone camera lens with the eye piece, it works pretty well.

Answer:	I'd say that would depend on how responsible (read: CAREFUL) you judge the beginner to be. This IS a precision instrument. The optics are not of the absolutely HIGHEST quality, but they ARE quite good. From that point of view, it's an excellent "beginner's" microscope. After all, if one decides to "upgrade" (with higher quality eyepieces or objectives), you can easily do so, because they are industry (DIN) standard. You can even take photos (if you buy an adapter), which I have done with my Canon EOS; the quality of the resulting product is outstanding. The main issues, then, are: (1) How much money you want to spend; from an investment level standpoint, this microscope is QUITE a good deal, money-wise; and (2) how CAREFUL the beginner in question is with respect to precision machinery.

Answer:	Yes it can be hooked up via the webcam ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006KMQ434 ). The one I purchased with this is a 5Megapixel camera that works very well to capture stills and film video. Also compatible with Mac OSX Mountain Lion to boot.

Answer:	I am puzzled by this password for the manual download. I just went to the Amscope site and downloaded the manual. No password or proof of purchase, signing in or anything. Question:	What are some tricks to getting the 25x to focus and be as sharp at the 10x eyepieces? Can you only use the 25x for the 100x with oil
Answer:	It really isn’t that useful to use the 25x ocular lenses, the 10x work fine, but using the 25 x reduces the field of view so much that unless you are looking at something and need a small area magnified I suggest you don’t need them. You can use it with the 100x but it won’t work well because it goes above the reducing power of the lens. Pretty much 100 x 10 is the top end of good resolution.

Answer:	I don't think it took more than a week to arrive

Answer:	Actually I don't think it does have a top light. All of the magnification is up on top and the light is in the base. There are other items you can buy to attach to this scope however like an external viewer for example or to take photographs or a slide. It is a really great scope....as good as the ones I used in college!

Answer:	This is a pretty inexpensive microscope and the optics, while offering up to 2000 x magnification, are not great. Considering Galileo used optics he made himself I would say if you employ ingenuity and creativity you will be able to differentiate mold species. I've seen some amazing things with my microscope. The 2000 magnification uses the oil immersion technique for clarity.

Question:	Does the inluded ring light cast a blue light as photo's appear or is it white light? I have a ring light that is useless due to it's blue cast throw
Answer:	Yes, through the software that comes with it. It's best to download the latest version from AmScope's web site though, and you need to calibrate it with the included calibration slide. I have found that at high magnification I can reliably get to .001" accuracy but because it is using the left lens there is a slight skew to the image, tilting the part slightly or rotating the head can eliminate that issue, but then if you are looking through the right eye piece that image will be more skewed. That said, small price to pay for the functionality you are getting, to get better optics a Nikon or Leica will cost you $5,000-$10,000 to do the same thing.
