Answer:	The back is all open. So using a can of air works good.

Answer:	I haven’t had to do this yet, but you can buy a ‘can’ of air at Staples, Best Buy. It’s just pressured air, sorta like hair spray- but DO NOT use hair spray. This is specifically for cleaning filters.

Answer:	Don't see a binocular listed at $58 on Amazon. If the questioner could give the name and number, (e.g., Celestron 7332 Nature DX 8X42), I'll take a stab at an answer.

Answer:	For holding with hands better than a x50 but not as good as a x35 or x25. If you have a mount a x50 or x60 would be better. These binoculars are better suited for bird watching where star gazing is a secondary function.

Answer:	Most 10x42 binoculars have a field of view of about 300 feet at 1000 yards. This means you just need to be over half a mile from the field and you will be able to see everything unfolding on the field, and it will appear much closer than if you looked at it from a 1000 yards with your naked eye.
Question:	The specs say the binoculars are one pound, not 9 ounces. What gives
Answer:	8x42 until the amateur birder becomes more proficient in identifying birds and his/her use of bins. I used 10x50 in my start of the past time, and then switched to 10x42. I also use 12x56 bins since they serve better for long distant viewing and identification.

Answer:	If you are use to using a pair of binoculars, any binoculars, unless there 30 years old and broken! These are very good. I got a pair of 10x50 and they're too hard to see through unless on a tripod.
Question:	anyone use these for night concert? how is it
Answer:	This model also uses BAK4 porro prism glass. Easiest way to check that any binocular you are interested in is to hold them up at arm's length and look at the eyepieces - if they are shaped like a stop sign those binocular uses the cheaper (and less clear) BAK7 prism glass. BAK4 prisms will show a round exit pupil. Porro prism binoculars are usually better than the roof prism which are a straight tube. Roof prism binoculars are usually lighter weight.

Question:	So these note extremely compact and yet the product dimensions show 8.5 x 5.6 x 2.9 inches, but 8.5 isn't compact, so ]what is the actual folded size
Answer:	It has a neck strap but not a belt clip. They are wonderful lenses. My sole gripe- cheap, loose lens caps. They behave like infant shoes- always falling off and I'm sure I'll lose one .I'd prefer a single rubber cap that attached to the device.

Answer:	I would call it a protective cover more than a case. It is a soft padded cover that packs well.

Answer:	The are not weather or water proof.

Answer:	I just weighed mine, without lens caps, and they weighed 0.58 pounds. Nikon Travelite, 825, 5.6* 007145 CX. I do like them for things like birding up close.

Question:	What all comes in the box
Answer:	I believe the 8x26 mm ones come with a case, but it is so large and bulky that when traveling (which is the only time we use them instead of 8x42's) we store them in a soft cloth bag with a drawstring, to save space and make them more accessible. We leave the neck strap in attached to the binoculars and allow it to dangle out of the mouth of the small storage bag.
Question:	What is the warranty on these binoculars
Answer:	I did not have good luck with my Carson RD 8X42 binoculars. My first pair arrived exhibiting a cloudy or milky film in the bottom of the view. This did not cover the entire view but maybe the bottom 10% or so. I ordered a second pair, same thing. I sent back a pair to Carson which also did not improve the image. I tried to engage them with a conversation - was I using the binoculars correctly, to no avail. I don't know the answer to your question, but I'd stay away from Carson.
Question:	Does a case and lens covers come with the binos
Answer:	Thank you for your inquiry. The RDs have two loops on either side for a neck strap or harness. These are closed loops, so unless you use something that will attach to the belt loop and then the binoculars, it won't attach directly.
Question:	Are all models waterproof
Answer:	Thank you for your inquiry. It depends how much ambient lighting there is. In general, a larger objective lens diameter will gather more light, and while a compact pair of binoculars is more portable and convenient, a pair with a larger objective lens (like an 8x42mm) will be better to use in the dark. Usually, concerts tend to have a fair amount of artificial light though, so this may not be an issue.

Adjust Eyecups & IPD

Enjoy comfortable viewing even if you wear eyeglasses. Simply twist the eyecups up or down to see the full field of view. Keep the eyecups fully extended if you aren’t wearing eyeglasses or sunglasses.

The IPD (interpupillary distance) is the distance between the centers of the left and right pupil. Your binocular also has an IPD. To see a single image free of shading, rotate your binocular until its IPD aligns with your eyes.

Focus Your Binocular

For the best views, use the center focus and diopter to adjust for vision differences in each eye. Choose an object that is about 20 yards away from you and perform this two-step process:

1. Close your right eye or cover the right objective lens with your hand. Look at the object with your left eye and adjust the center focus dial until the image is in focus.
2. Close your left eye or cover the left objective lens with your hand and rotate the ring until the object is in focus.

Lens Care

Follow this two-step process to gently clean the exterior lenses of your binocular.

1. Blow away any dust or grit before wiping the lens. Use a can of pressurized air, soft camel hair brush, or acrylic optical brush.
2. Gently remove smudges, fingerprints, and eyelash oil from the lens. Use a small amount of water or your breath to moisten the lens then wipe away smudges with a clean lens cloth. Isopropyl alcohol can help remove marks like fingerprints.
