Answer:	“What is a phone adapter for pictures?” There is an adapter available on market that connects binocular/monocular to a smart phone allowing magnified photos to be taken. I’m not sure how good they are as I’ve personally never used one. If you’re asking this question in relation to our auto focus binoculars I think you may have our product confused with another as we do not supply an adapter of any description. Hope this helps? Answer:	Would these be good for sitting on the 3rd balcony at a concert?
Question:	Just got mine and cannot see anything in focus. Any suggestions other than returning them? I have used other autofocus binoculars with no problems
Answer:	I don't know what could be the problem, mine work flawlessly. Maybe there is some kind of protective coating on the lenses that have to be removed. Just a guess as mine didn't have any such thing. Good luck, I hope you get it resolved because they're very good.

Answer:	Water resistant only, from what I understand. Fog proof, I don't think so.

Answer:	This particular binocular is auto focus. Meaning when you hold them to your eyes there will be no adjustment, you will be able to see clearly. How it works I am not sure. I am a tower crane operator, I have a pair in my crane so that I can look down 200/400 feet and see the ground clearly. Well worth the money.

Question:	What does fold'down eye cups mean? My Astronomy binoculars have pull out option but I guess this just means they are already rubber against your eyes
Answer:	The eye cups have extended soft rubber cups to allow a user to press the optics right into your eye sockets. Sounds bad but the soft rubber sort of cushions in and creates a tunnel of sorts and a solid placement for viewing. These rubber cups can be turned down or inverted or folded down around the view ports. The rubber then fits tight against the ports and is out of the way. Why? If you use eye glasses the extended cups mess with you glasses lens and folded down the cups are just a soft bumper - protecting glasses lens - and allow better use with eye glasses.

Question:	what do the specifications like 12x42, 7x50 mean
Answer:	12x means 12 times magnification/ looks 12x closer the 42 is the size of the lenses opposite the eye peices. The larger the lens the more light: ie brighter in dimmer light with a 50mm lens vs a 30mm lens. I have the Tasco 8x32 auto focus which work fine for me wearing my glasses.

Answer:	Technically, the Navigator Pro's are the better model. The Navigator Pro's are fully sealed for submersion protection up to 16ft, and have specialized coatings for reducing glare when viewing over water.

Answer:	Most definitely made in Germany. Body is magnesium or aluminum for light weight and lens are either Swiss or German. Steiner supplies the US military with binoculars and other optical equipment for decades. I am a Ship Captain and I used to think Nikon binoculars were the best. The Steiners are excellent and in their own niche. You will not be disappointed and the great thing with Amazon is you may return it if anything less than totally satisfied. I have had mine for 3 years from Amazon and it's heirloom if cared for properly. It has the inbuilt compass and light. The compass has very little compass error when I last compared it to ship's gyro compass. Useful for bearings on sightings.
