Answer:	The microphone is a dual mono microphone and thus not stereo, unless you get into the very expensive stereo microphones I think you'll be pleased with the frequency response and quality. Once plugged in, the on-board microphone is cancelled out.

Answer:	Best qualities of the Videomic Go: Small, no battery (powered from the camera), easy to transport. Best qualities of the Rode Videomic over the Videomic Go: Battery powered (better range), high pass filter, PAD switch (for reducing sensitivity on louder recordings). Not having a battery can be nice (using the GO), but the camera you use has to be able to power over the 1/8" mic input. The high pass filter and PAD switch are nice on the Videomic, but not always necessary. If you don't think you'll need them, then the Videomic GO is the way to go.

Answer:	Yes. For Zoom H6, the mic is compatible if you plug it into the Line In jack on the X/Y capsule that sits on the top of the mic. We are not sure about other capsules, but the X/Y are the most common ones that come with those mics, so that is what the Purple Panda mic is intended for.

Answer:	The Pro Plus is a new and improved version of the popular VideoMic Pro. It looks similar from the outside (although, the pro is quite a bit smaller), but has some much-needed upgrades like automatic power switching. The Pro Plus will turn on when plugged into the camera or switch itself off when unplugged.

Answer:	Contrary to what the first answer said, you can charge this battery from 12V. I have the adapter to charge it from a car and it works well. The 110V charger that comes with the battery outputs 13.5V at 6.5A. That's 90W. It charges the battery in about 4 hours. If you can get a solar panel or panels that would output 13.5V, it should work. But the less amperage you have available, the longer it will take to charge the battery. Answer:	That depends on what you mean. If you mean self noise (electrical noise made by the mic itself.) No. It is an incredibly quiet mic. But it is also a very sensitive one, so if you are not in a quiet environment, it will pick up background noise.
Question:	Can the Nt1 act as a boom mic of sorts? (hook straight up to camera/camera mounted, portable, pickup more than a few noises
Answer:	The NT1 should not be used as a boom mic. It would cause more problems as a boom mic than is probably worth it. As a studio mic, it has a directional pickup pattern, but the pattern is much more sensitive on its vertical axis. Peter Freedman from RODE made a video on using studio microphones here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOy0EglZPRY. Although he is displaying the NT1-A instead of the NT1, the concept is the same for both. The Rode NTG-2 (as already mentioned) is designed as a shotgun/booming mic.

Answer:	I have two of the old NT1s. They look like they were made for Soviet military use and are nearly indestructible. You can find a used one for $100 or less and I highly recommend going that avenue to save money and get the same result.
Question:	Will using one of these be good at recording an acoustic grand piano
Answer:	This microphone is good for recording pianos and almost any acoustic instruments. For upright pianos, do not put condenser microphones like this in the piano. Put mic. around the player. You will get better result if you remove both top and bottom plate of the piano, so that strings expose. For grand pianos, put mic. around the top end of the open top plate and a few feet away from the piano.

Answer:	Now you can anyways but only in the nt1 and nt1000. It still comes with a clip and dust cover just no shock mount and cable. Its just called RODE NT1 no -KIT at the end.

Answer:	Yes, you could definitely use this to record voice acting. Especially if you are recording from home. What you also need is an audio interface to record. I also suggest looking into the the Rode NT1 which is the newer version of this mic. Either one is a great mic. I own them both.

Answer:	Yes, this is a large diaphragm condenser microphone. The "large diaphragm" refers to the circular surface that you see behind the mesh screen of the mic. Large means a larger circular surface as opposed to a smaller circular surface. When you sing, rap, play instrument, etc. in front of the mic, the sound that you generate vibrates against the diaphragm creating the electronic signal that is transferred through the mic into your recorder or PA system (in live performances; although generally condenser mics are preferred in the studio while dynamic mics are preferred for live performances due to the sensitivity of condenser mics to loud sounds, i.e., live performances). The size of the diaphragm (in this case large) affects the clarity, volume, EQ, and general signal quality that you get. Large diaphragm microphones (LDMs) are generally the choice for studio vocals, and any instrument recording where a more "deep" sound is desired. A large diaphragm microphone generally warms up the sound of what it's recording, which also leads to the myth that most LDMs reproduce low frequencies better than small diaphragm mics; this isn't true, in fact, small diaphragm mics are much better at reproducing everything evenly, including bass. You'll want a pop screen if using a condenser microphone for vocals; they're so sensitive to transient noises that the "P" and "SH" sounds you make will cause distortion. Small diaphragm microphones (SDMs) are generally the best choice where you want a solid, wide frequency response and the best transient response, which is the ability for your microphone to reproduce fast sounds, such as stringed instruments.
