Answer:	Yes, that lens has a 52mm diameter. It's the same lens I use with it.Edit... I have the 50mm f/1.8D AF lens. Should still work though. It's the same thing as screwing a UV filter on.

Answer:	Use extension tubes with a prime lens. Not so good with zooms. Best lenses are those with MANUAL f-stop rings, otherwise you can only shoot with the smallest aperture. You can indeed get way closer and shots will be very sharp.

Answer:	I haven't tried but I believe the answer is yes depending of course on the length of the lens. A short lens should be easy but, not with a long lens. I've never shot a panoramic. I am curious, does it matter where the end of the lens is or is it the focal plane at the sensor? Or does it matter at all. It seems to me that as long as the camera is pivoting perpendicular to the focal axis (or whatever you call a straight line through the center of the lens) it shouldn't matter but, I don't claim to know for sure.
Question:	how do I use a tap or WD40 to clean out the threads? the turn knobs feel sticky
Answer:	Do not use WD40 on this. Use Dawn dishwashing detergent and a toothbrush to clean the gears. Dry with a hair dryer then use a small DROP of gun lub on the gears. Unless the adjustments are hard to turn, you may want the stability you now have.
Question:	Is anyone using this to make it easier to balance the camera on a stabilizer such as steadycam or flycam or neewer
Answer:	I bought to show people about macro photography, this isnt really stable if you r putting any pressure on the camera. Its not top notch quality and raise the height off tripod or rig 5 inches or so. It would be allright in controlled setting but if you were in wind or touching camera this is going to increase movement On a table or outside on calm day it would be allright - i would spend more if you are taking low aperture macro pictures with fine details, the low profile is only way to go unless u wanna try this - i was dissapointed, u will be 2

Answer:	Hello. My Canon T-6 uses the EF-S lenses and with all three tubes attached the auto focus worked fine. With my 18-55mm set to 55mm, all three tubes on, focus was about one inch from the lens! They are supposed to work EF lenses. Hope that helped some. I'm not a professional but I'm looking forward to working with these extension tubes and spring time nature close-ups. Question:	What makes this ‘improved’ over their other products
Answer:	Sorry, not sure. All the specs look the same, maybe the clutch material. I liked mine but I returned it to buy another that had a graduated knob for better discrimination in travel distance (focus stacking). This one has a nice clutch, my replacement doesn’t. Can’t have everything, I guess.

Answer:	There IS a 1/4” screw hole on underside. In practical use, you’ll want an Arca-Swiss clamp for the head though.

Question:	Can i connect this camera to my computer with a usb
Answer:	I have just purchased two of these (Elph 180). The first thing I noticed is that Canon has not improved the access door (battery/ sd card slot) in the many years since I had my first point& shoot Canon. (I have a canon rebel too - different story) The reason I am telling you this is that I urge you to buy a cable to download your shots, and clear the SD card from your camera. Every time you open and shut this little door, the weaker it becomes. Eventually you will be forced to tape the door shut to use the camera. I did this for years because I loved the camera. Finally I just got tired of it and bought the rebel. If the only time you have to open the door is to charge the battery, you will extend the usable life of the door HUGELY. As with most technology today, it's longevity depends on its weakest point. One of the two I purchased is for a 12 yr. old - I bought cables for both of us. My opinion: It's worth it because Canon still makes the best lenses.
Question:	Does this have an automatic shutoff If I forget to turn it off
Answer:	I don`t think so. But you`ll know if it`s on. When it`s on, the lens moves way out. When it`s off, it retracts, so the camera is flat. It would be very hard to forget to turn the camera off, or forget you left it on.
