If you plug two phones in that are extremely low on battery life, it's almost like they are fighting for the current / voltage and that's when the fuses blow. I stopped using mine and purchased a regular 2 outlet cigarette lighter charger. I have not had a problem since switching. Hope this helps you.

I have both the mount and the flash and have had no problems. If I were to make one change it would be to make the umbrella screw knob larger -it works, but its just too small.
