2 best lens macros

Macro lenses are specialized camera lenses designed for close-up photography, allowing you to capture small subjects with intricate details. These lenses are commonly used in photography genres like macro photography, product photography, and nature photography. Here is what you should know about macro lenses:

  1. Close-up Photography: Macro lenses are specifically designed to focus on subjects at extremely close distances, often just a few inches away. This capability makes them ideal for capturing the fine details of small objects, such as flowers, insects, jewelry, or food.

  2. 1:1 Magnification: A defining feature of macro lenses is their ability to achieve 1:1 magnification, meaning that the image projected onto the camera's sensor is the same size as the subject being photographed. This allows for life-sized, highly detailed images of small objects.

  3. Focal Length: Macro lenses come in various focal lengths, typically ranging from around 40mm to 200mm. The choice of focal length depends on the type of macro photography you want to pursue. Shorter focal lengths are suitable for general close-up work, while longer focal lengths provide more working distance for shy subjects or capturing details from a distance.

  4. Aperture: Many macro lenses feature wide maximum apertures (e.g., f/2.8 or f/3.5), allowing for excellent background blur (bokeh) and low-light performance. This helps isolate the subject from its surroundings and create visually pleasing compositions.

  5. Stabilization: Some macro lenses incorporate image stabilization (IS or VR) to reduce the impact of camera shake when shooting at such close distances. This feature can be particularly beneficial in handheld macro photography.

  6. Compatibility: Macro lenses are available for various camera systems, including DSLRs and mirrorless cameras from popular manufacturers like Canon, Nikon, Sony, and others. Make sure to choose a lens that is compatible with your camera.

  7. Manual Focus: Achieving precise focus is critical in macro photography. While many macro lenses offer autofocus capabilities, photographers often prefer using manual focus to fine-tune focus at close distances.

  8. Accessories: Macro photographers may use accessories like extension tubes or close-up filters to further enhance their close-up capabilities. These accessories can be used in conjunction with macro lenses to achieve even closer focusing distances.

  9. Versatility: Although macro lenses excel at close-up work, many of them can also serve as general-purpose lenses for portrait, landscape, or other photography styles due to their excellent optical quality.

  10. Cost: The price of macro lenses varies depending on factors such as brand, focal length, aperture, and additional features. High-quality macro lenses tend to be more expensive, but they offer superior image quality.

In summary, macro lenses are essential tools for photographers who want to capture the intricate details of small subjects. These lenses offer 1:1 magnification, precise focus control, and excellent optical quality, making them valuable additions to a photographer's kit, especially for those interested in macro or close-up photography.

User questions & answers

Question: Can you use the lens for selfies
Answer: Yes. The eyepiece rotates outward, and it does have lens covers.
Question: Is this compatible with the iPad Pro
Answer: Hi there, as you said, in addition to the difference in size and zoom dimensions, since the 10-30x40 Zoom Monocular is an upgraded version of the 8-24x30 one, there are stricter controls on quality issues, thus making it more durable and of better quality than the old one. Hope our monocular telescope will do some good for you!
Question: Will i need to remove my Otterbox case on my iPhone 6 for this to work better
Answer: I was disappointed in this product and returned it. I don’t know if it’s because I wear glasses or what but I could not focus with it.
Question: I see the "strength" of the wide angle is 0.45x. I've seen other wide angles that are 0.65x. Does anyone know which size gives a wider angle
Answer: No, it starts at 10 and can increase to 30. Very nice monocular. You can look at things across a room though.

Product features

Need a high-quality wide-angle lens for real estate, landscape, group photos, and more? Consider this before you buy...

Comparing the photos above quickly reveals the difference between Xenvo premium quality lenses and cheap, low-quality alternatives.

Problems with cheap wide-angle lenses:

1. Barrel Distortion - Cheap wide-angle lenses will distort your photos, giving a warped, fisheye appearance; straight lines appear curved.

2. Vignetting - Poor quality construction and design of cheap wide-angle lenses results in unwanted darkening of corners in photos.

Benefits of Xenvo TruView wide-angle lens:

1. Rectilinear Correction - Xenvo wide-angle lenses feature additional glass elements that correct unwanted lens distortion so straight lines appear straight.

2. No Vignetting - High-quality, German optical-grade glass provides crystal clear images from edge to edge with no dark corners.

User questions & answers

Question: Is it also useful for landscape photos (because it's 28mm/wide angle
Answer: No, this lens is EF-M mount, the 70D is a DSLR that uses the Canon EF and EF-S mount. The EF-M mount is for the Canon EOS M, M2, M3 and M10 cameras.
Question: I know it's not the function for it, but how well do portraits turn out with this
Answer: Yes and I completely agree with NILO. The lens has a stepped front plane so in all but the rarest situations will a lens hood by needed. I've shot well over a thousand photos ( indoors and out) since purchasing this lens and I didn't need a hood.
Question: Is this compatible with the eos 70d
Answer: It's a great lens, so sharp and amazing quality. I have a canon rebel series and it works just fine on it. I use a full frame camera primarily, so it stays true to 100mm. Just keep in mind it'll be 150mm with the t5i due to its crop sensor (shouldn't matter much for macro work).
Question: Is the lens hood purchased separately? Thx
Answer: You will have better images if you use the Canon EF 100mm (without IS) Lens with a tripod. Infact, both lenses have the same colour quality at all. The only differences are "IS" and "PRICE". Thanks
