Answer:	I have tested it with a 600 Watts Oster Blender and a Bosch driller at the same time, because I had to cut the power plug, for use a Neutrik NAC3FC-HC PowerCon, and it doesn't pop, or be hot, It is made to be reliable so it was made like a main power strip, I also connect it a 1600w vacuum cleaner and not a problem

Answer:	Clamping Voltage = 400V. Surge Rating = 540 joules. Response Time = n/a. (Strangely, the response time is not available on the product website. I don't know if it means that it's a problem.) I would look elsewhere. There are a lot of other surge protectors that sell for less and provide better protection. It has a normal clamping voltage but its surge rating is low. So, it's going to stop working much earlier than other surge protectors. And, it's not like this really smooths out the line noise as it filters out only 20db (which is much lower than other devices). Frankly, I don't know why people would buy this, especially at this price ($30) and why it has a high rating. I guess the unit looks sturdy and looks like a heavy duty piece of equipment but it really isn't. The company is tricking you.

Answer:	It provides 540 Joules protection as well as EMI and RFI protection.. Furman is one of the best names in power conditioning for MUSICAL equipment. That should definitely be considered. I’ve used this brand for decades with zero problems. I’m currently using an M8lx conditioner and one of these branching off of it for added protection of a Gibson guitar/Marshall amp setup with numerous add-on equipment (pedals/PA amps etc.)

Answer:	Search Amazon for bnc gooseneck led light. Also be aware this unit is designed to have power applied to it continuously. If there's a power failure or you unplug it and the power returns , all the relay outputs turn on at once, same as plugging all your equipment in at once. Defeats the purpose in my opinion. I took it apart and rewired the 24v to the relays to a separate switch to give the internal processor time to reset.

Question:	Does the unit balance the power within particular ranges? For example, would it add voltage during Brownouts? If not recommendations welcome
Answer:	I think you need to look at high quality UPS especially one that can rectify voltage/current or go to battery for outage. I bought a CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD PFC Sinewave UPS System recently and it's working flawlessly. Although for high-end audio you may want a Furman P-1800 PFR as power regulator. I actually use both in series and place my high-end audio equipment behind the P-1800 PFR.
Question:	Will this take the 60 cycle hum out of my home tube amp
Answer:	Hum has nothing to do with surge suppression. You either have an un-screened signal cable or a ground loop. Try connecting ALL equipment to the SAME outlet.
Question:	Does this need to be plugged directly into the wall outlet, or can it be plugged into a strip? Can I connect a strip to this unit safely
Answer:	The warranty is void if the unit is plugged into anything but an outlet. The warranty language does not seem to address plugging strips INTO the unit. See also Dan J's response, above.

Answer:	The AC-215A manual says: "Traditional surge suppression circuits sacrifice themselves when exposed to multiple transient voltage spikes, requiring the dismantling of your system and repair of your surge suppressor. Not so with Furman’s SMP. Damaging transient voltages are safely absorbed, clamped, and dissipated. Your connected equipment is protected, while your Furman protects itself!"

Answer:	No. The LCnn00 will only condition VOLTAGE level (increase/decrease) over a nominal level. To reduce line NOISE you should look for the "Isolation Transformer-Based Power Conditioner - Superior line noise reduction and spike suppression" models (IS250 as an example). Be sure to get the capacity required for your needs.
Question:	I'm trying to find a good AVR for room heaters (portable ceramic & quartz). Would this work or just shutdown (like the OptiUPS
Answer:	David, This is not a true AVR in my opinion, it is a step voltage device that boosts the power by way of transformers that are dependent on the voltage it's getting from the wall. I had a customer with intermittently low voltage and it does not regulate to steady voltage. You can't expect this device to provide constant voltage if your drawing higher than expected amps on the circuit. If your UPS is shutting down, your probably pulling to much power for that device and a AVR will not resolve that. You didn't mention what your total wattage draw was or what the amp rating on the circuit your using or if you have a low voltage condition and all of these things figure in to your situation. I ended up getting a true AVR (low AC voltage to DC to Stable AC again at a constant 120 volts) Triplight I think it was and all that really does is provide constant, clean 120 volts AC. So don't know if this is really what you need.

Answer:	Yes, it will work as the wattage size of the generator does not matter. You are just limited by the amount of wattage you plug into the Tripp Lite unit. For the LC1200 you should not exceed 1200 watts. Just add up the wattage of each item you plug into it and keep it under 1200 watts. If your item only displays amps then take that number and multiply it by the voltage which is 120v. Ohms law, amps x voltage = watts.

Answer:	I'm not sure but this power conditioner is a "power regulator" that improves quality of the power (e.g. power factor correction, noise suppression, transient impulse protection, etc.). Therefore what is important is the power (1800 watts in this case) and it gives you all the time clean 120volts AC for clear sound on your speakers. This Pyle Pro is giving me good clean power without having to pay for a Furman. I believe that the maximum surge will be 6,500 Amps. Maximum Current: 15 amps @ 124 Volts

Answer:	Yes, it will work as the wattage size of the generator does not matter. You are just limited by the amount of wattage you plug into the Tripp Lite unit. For the LC1200 you should not exceed 1200 watts. Just add up the wattage of each item you plug into it and keep it under 1200 watts. If your item only displays amps then take that number and multiply it by the voltage which is 120v. Ohms law, amps x voltage = watts.
Question:	I notice this has 4 high current plugs. Do you think it would handle an Outlaw amp and two Hsu subs fine
Answer:	Yes it would be a solid replacement. It is almost identical. Although, if you are only looking for surge and spike protection, perhaps the M-8x2 would fit your needs. It all depends on if you really need the sequence features or not. I have about (5) of both units in the field as we as many units in between. You should be well protected with either. Voltage Regulation



Regulates the output voltage on Banks 1-4 to 120 VAC ± 5 VAC. This is accomplished through two boost stages and one buck stage of voltage regulation. Automatic Over and Under Voltage Protection (AVM)

The M5400-PM is designed to provide noise isolation between the outlet banks so that any noise created by A/V components plugged into the M5400-PM cannot contaminate the power going to equipment plugged into the other outlet banks of the M5400-PM.



Sequential Startup/Shutdown



Complex audio/video systems may be susceptible to voltage transients generated internally at start-up/shutdown if all of the equipment is powered on or off at the same time. This can cause speaker "thumps" which are not only annoying but can also damage the speakers and/or trip product circuit breakers. The M5400-PM is designed to eliminate these transients by providing a "start-up" delay for the High-Current outlets and a "shutdown" delay for the Switched Outlet Banks. This minimizes in-rush current issues by allowing the components plugged into the Switched Outlet Banks to power-up and stabilize before any amplifiers and powered sub-woofers are turned on. This sequence is reversed during shutdown. The amplifiers and powered subwoofers turn off, their power supplies drain, and then the equipment plugged into the Switched Outlet Banks are turned off.
