Answer:	If you have experienced a lighting strike, the MOVs (metal oxide varistors) that dissipate the energy have been stressed. They may not handle the next strike very well and damage the important equipment you plug into this. It is best to purchase a new one so that it will work properly for the next lighting strike. If this is a common occurrence at your home, you should look into lighting arrestors and better ground for your electrical connection to the power grid. I would not trust the protection light (Green) if you are smelling any sort of burnt wire smell. The likelihood of a fire hazard is increased - if wire insulation has melted due to heat from the lighting strike. If I remember correctly, MOVs usually fail to an open state but I would not bet on it without testing. It is cheap insurance to throw this out and replace it with new.

Mounting Method

1. Measure the distance between the 2 keyhole slots with the same direction on the back of the power strip.

2. Punch 2 holes on the baseboard with the distance you just measured and insert two self-tapping screws.

3. Put the power strip into the screws and then pull it down a little bit. Please ensure that the screws slide into the smaller holes.

I would much rather have it cut the power than to have to crawl around the equipment to keep checking to see if I am still protected. Answer:	Just bought this. Seems odd that distance between screw holes is 116mm. Even odder that their conversion to inches is "4.54?".

So if you have 4 devices plugged in the USB's, each device will receive a max of 1.5A. Enough to charge a phone/tablet, just not at a fast charge rate.

Answer:	No other button that I know of. Your power recepticle may not be wired correctly. Try the power strip plugged in at other locations around the house and see if the light comes on.
Question:	why isn't the "grounded" light showing up on my power strip? do i need to press another button to activate it or something
Answer:	I don't think is safe but it will with the rest of fire if something should go wrong on the extension. Micro way is consider an appliance which is safe to plug straight into the wall plug. The wall plug's wires are fire protected within a closed tubing. By law, the new build has a safety requirement that every 6 feet must has a plug on the wall except the building is very code. I think, maybe someone else can provide better answer.
