Answer:	I have it plugged in to an extension cord and have had no problems. Use a heavy duty cord if you will be using a lot of amps.

Plug the Belkin into the wall, and plug the computer and other delicate electronics into the Belkin, and everything will be protected from any surges generated by the air conditioner (or lightning, or the refrigerator turning on and off, etc).The air conditioner should be plugged directly into the wall, because it draws a lot of current and it's best if high-current devices aren't plugged into extension cords.

The compressor supporting a freezer causes a spike in wattage when it starts and then it drops again. Either way I think the cord is rated for what you need.

Answer:	Mine seemed to have to be particularly perfectly aligned in the outlet to turn on the LED, which also seemed to be particularly weak making it hard to tell it was on.

Answer:	There are outlet plug covers that you can purchase from Menards or Home Depot that will protect it from the elements for $5-$10 if you need them but there may also be other solutions for outdoor use. Though my though would be use an indoor outlet close to where you need the outdoor use and run the ethernet cable from there through a wall or out a window. Something like that as the POE from the injector will go 320ft over ethernet so shouldn't pose a problem that way. But whichever way you want to go this should work.
Question:	I want to use this to power an access point, will this limit bandwidth in anyway? Not sure if there is a data speed max rating
Answer:	I have this powering a Cisco Aeronet 1250 configured as an autonomous access point. It shows gigabit connectivity back to my gateway (residential), so I think it handles gigabit ethernet. The only thing I would caution you is the power this injector can deliver. My access point has been, and continues to be, running well and reliably for about a month. However if I log into the AP, it shows PoE status of lower than 15.4W. My AP will turn off the 5G radio if the PoE is too low. Although the AP is running both radios, I suspect this PoE is just on the edge of not delivering enough power for my AP. If you have a newer, more power efficient, AP or powering something like a camera over ethernet, this injector is probably fine.

Answer:	Yes. plug in the grounding adapter and install the screw. Then plug a outlet tester into the 3 prong end of the adapter. it should indicate if there is a ground to the outlet. If the outlet box is metal and grounded, the screw in the duplex outlet will normally be grounded also.

Answer:	You need to fasten the outlet wall plate screw over the green tab in order to complete the path to ground. This will only work if the outlet itself is grounded. Then use an outlet tester (you can buy them at hardware stores) the check if you have a path to ground.

Question:	We will be using this for an adjustable base for a bed. We were told to use a surge protector rated at 1500 joules. Will this work? Thanks
Answer:	Sorry I can't help. I don't even know what one of these is!. I do know that I'm very pleased with the APC Surge Protectors. I've got four of them, and my big backup battery for my computer is an APC.
Question:	I’m wanting to use this for indoor cameras but it will also have a smart tv plugged, just wondering if all would be safe on this particular strip
Answer:	If I remember correctly it comes in a retail package - a cardboard box, not the hard plastic that you need explosives to break through.
Question:	The fourth picture says 100-250v, but the description says 110-250v. which is true? i'm going to japan and japan's standard is 100v
Answer:	I looked on the device. I looked on the box. I looked in the user manual. I found no reference to UL. You are concerned with irrelevant information. I buy APC surge protection devices because I want the best. I can assure you that this is a good and safe investment. The only number you should be concerned with is the joules protection. Don't get less than 1400 joules protection. I don't even have the unit that you referred to. Mine is PE76. So it is good that you asked me. Don't get the PE63 because it apparently has only 540 joules protection. APC is good if you are a careful shopper.
Question:	I live in a very old house where we only have one outlet in each room I need to run a ac unit off it will it work
Answer:	The clamping voltage certified and stamped on the unit is 500v not the advertised 330v. I am not an expert, but in my opinion, it is unlikely to protect you from the first surge or any subsequent surges. I don't recommend this unit.
