Answer:	It’s a great speaker but the bass is not prominent. Clear sound.

Answer:	The only time I have noticed a hiss sound with my Bongo is when I have plugged it into my computer's line out jack alongside a USB port for charging the batteries. Otherwise, when it is turned on and not playing anything., it is totally silent.
