Answer:	It will work with a adaptor on the end. Your 110 house recepticle will only be 15 or 20 amps. This cord is for 30 amps so the ends are different. Answer:	I wouldn't recommend it the more you hook together the more the amps drop. Could cause damage to equipment running under powerd at full load. For this reason I purchased the 50' rather than adding a small ext. to my 25ft cord.

I need the extra cord due to the placement of the RV when I am at home, so I came up with the idea of placing the connection on top of a brick then I bought a plastic bucket and cut out a section on both sides for the cord to pass through and position it over the connection. A second brick prevents the bucket from blowing away.

Answer:	I'm not sure but it is the correct size to carry a 50A load. The cord is heavy and the same size as my original 50A cable.

Answer:	I have a motorhome with a 50 amp cord. I use this extension when my motorhome cable is not long enough. If you have a 50 amp cord on your 5th wheel you should be able to use this to extend your power cable. The cable has standard RV 50 amp ends that plug into the campground power.

Answer:	I don't believe this configuration would work. These electrical cords have a NEMA 14-50P Plug that is made to connect into a NEMA 14-50R Receptacle. Most dryer cords are either an older three prong, NEMA 10-30R configuration, or the grounded four-prong, NEMA 14-30R configuration. Both of these dryer outlet configurations are rated for a maximum of 30 amps and Tesla plugs are designed for 50 amps.

Answer:	If you look at the pictures of the two, you will be able to see the difference. Look at the difference in the female end. We have the cheaper plain 30 amp cord. It is basically an entension cord that has a male end to plug into a power source and a female end to accept the male end of the trailer power cord. The 30M/30F 90 degree locking cord also has a male end that plugs into the power source, but the female end has threads that adapt to different sizes of plugs and a black screw locking ring that allows it to lock to what it screws into. Which one you need would depend upon what you are going to plug into it. I can tell you that this is a great power cord, and the grip makes it much easier to remove both ends from the power source and what it is plugged into it.

Answer:	Does your 2015 Thor Ace 27.1 have 30 amp service with the standard removable cord connector? If so, then yes it will work. You can get a "pigtail" that has a female 50a on one end to hook into the power cord from your camper and it will have a 30a male end to plug into the power outlet. Question:	Do you plug into the pedestal then between your rv plug and the main source
Answer:	Yes. One end plugs into the 30 amp outlet on the pedestal and your 30 amp cord from the camper plugs into the other end. It will run a diagnostic check of the power and then turn on allowing power to run through to the camper.

Answer:	assuming your power center is 30 amps on your RV, yes. If your system can draw more than 30 amps, then the power defender may shut down. The 50 amp pole at camp site provides UP TO 50 amps. Just don't go over 30.
Question:	Does it seem like someone could easily walk away with this unit? and some are more expensive than this one
Answer:	One could walk away with it yes, but you can secure it with a cable lock if need be, I haven't had any theft issues anywhere we have camped...

Camco PowerGrip RV 30-Amp Voltage Protector with Integrated Surge Protection (55301)

The Camco PowerGrip RV 30-Amp Voltage Protector with Integrated Surge Protection connects directly to your campsite's power pedestal. Once connected, it has a series of diagnostic LEDs that indicate the status of the source circuit. When compared to the key, different lighting combinations will alert you of any electrical issues. The voltage protector protects against faults for reverse polarity, open neutral and other wiring issues and will not let power through to the RV if any of these conditions are present during initial startup. Following startup, if the lighting sequence matches “Power OK”, then power will be supplied to the RV. In the event of a power surge or high/low voltage levels through the power pedestal, power will be disconnected and will reconnect only after the normal operating conditions have been restored.

The voltage protector also features integrated surge protection of up to 2,800 Joules. Our voltage protector is weather-resistant and withstands adverse weather conditions when installed in the upright position.

Answer:	It is difficult to answer this question because of too many variables (how tightly the cord is wound, the diameter of the cable etc.) The fastening loop will go around approximately a 6-1/2 diameter circle
