Answer:	I don't know if I have the same pamphlet that came w/ your unit. But mine is 6 small 3" x 3.75" pages. And the Only reference to 5V is WRT (With Respect To) Power Supply Input into the Unit. from the External Power Supply. So I would say "5V output" should say "5V input".

Answer:	I assume that you are using this Product b/c your (old?) DVD Player has ONLY Component Connectors Y, Pb,Pr. And the TV is expecting HDMI. AAR the fact that you get a Splash Screen means the Product is OK. It could be the Media (Discs). Try it using a Commerically-Produced Movie DVD. Using a unauthorized (Pirated) Movie on DVD-R, DVD+R Media Discs May Not Work. If you are creating your OWN Discs, Try Burning them as "Data" Discs Instead of "Video" Discs.

Answer:	I believe this only works with devices outputting 720p and up with no upscaling of resolution at all. Plus you have to have component RCA jacks with the matching colors and not just the normal 3 of yellow, white, and red RCA plugs or it may not work at all. And keep in mind that it only goes from RCA TO HDMI, not the other way around. And are you sure you have it plugged in with the power adapter wall plug it comes with? Question:	Before I return this item for the second time, any idea why it is only transmitting grey and not color onto my screen
Answer:	The only thing i can think of is the cables your using may be unsatisfactory, and not passing all the frequencies needed for proper operation. Amazon carries several cables in difference lengths that will do the trick. It could also be a defective HDMI cable that's not passing the color info. Try another with at least a 2.0 rating. I hope this solves your problem.
Question:	will this work with a home theater system with no hdmi thats connected to firestick for surround sound
Answer:	This outputs HDMI, so the TV will need to have HDMI inputs. If your media device has a component output, you could plug in the video cables to the component to HDMI converter, but not the audio cables, instead you can plug them into the audio receiver. My Home theatre does not have HDMI, but it has optical audio support. Most TVs have a optical out or a standard audio (red/white) output. Would be a better solution to just run a cable from the TV to the surround sound, optical cable being the best if your audio receiver supports it.

Answer:	I bought one of these based on the seller's response saying it does not stretch the signal. I just received mine and tested with my NES, SNES, and N64. It stretches the video for all 3 systems with no apparent way to force a 4:3 aspect ratio. Since it's either 720p or 1080p, switching picture mode on my TV between normal and wide makes no difference.

Answer:	I have had absolutely no problem with this converter, I have it hooked up to an older Samsung dlp which doesn't have hdmi. If you're looking to expand your Firestick after that point I recommend you purchase a OTG cable (on the go) as well as a (powered usb hub) such as the Tendak 3.0 powered usb hub, the normal power from the Firestick doesn't have the juice to spin portable hard drives and frankly I find it silly to use thumb drives or SD cards when you can purchase a 1tb portable drive for around 50 bucks or so keep in mind your drives need to be formatted to fat32, but I have two 2tb hard drives that work perfectly fine with my Firestick using this combo, making it a portable media powerhouse in my opinion. With the addition of the powered usb hub i also run 2 usb powered fighting style arcade controllers, id like to point out I'm not the seller nor do I personally no them just giving advice for others to enjoy their little Firestick as much as I do.

Answer:	"Output supports EDID of the monitor". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extended_Display_Identification_Data This simply means that the converter does not output a fixed format via HDMI, rather it will communicate with the connected display to handshake on what resolution the monitor prefers. If your outputs are going direct to switchers and not to a display/TV, then this should not affect you and converter will simply output what you set it up to do.

Answer:	Mine worked. Used it with n64 and ps2. The picture can get kinda blurry on larger TV's though. No difference on 720 vs 1080p. I would recommend getting component cables instead if your TV supports it. Those can be less than $10 here on Amazon.

Question:	Can i plug my phone with the car dvd player
Answer:	That is what I am doing, I have the yellow connected to a video in jack in the back of the radio. I am using a Y cable as I have both this & a backup camera both connected to the same jack as there is only 1 video in on my receiver. I can now use screen mirroring & have my navigation from my phone showing on the radio screen. Video quality is not a good as shown on the phone but it works (radio screen resolution is not as good or high).
