Answer:	Yeah, it will work. Copy protection on VHS only kicks in when you are trying to dub from tape-to-tape. When doing output to the computer for a digital conversion, the VCR thinks it's playing the movie for viewing. The signal is going through the same output. I haven't used this for a copy protected VHS (I don't think I have a VHS movie that I haven't been able to find on DVD) but I'm sure it will work.

If the device is already plugged in then it does not record any sound. Answer:	I just received mine, so I am not 100%, but I believe so. I am disappointed as I just want to press a button and have my VHS converted to DVD and this unit doesn't seem to be able to do that. Answer:	Yes, it has all the cables you need. It has the UBS connector and it has the three RCA cables (red,white,and yellow). It does not have a S-cable but there is a place to connect it if you want to use one for slightly better video output.
Question:	How do I know if my pc has a dvd burner
Answer:	Generally, the drive will have "DVD Recorder", "DVD Multi Recorder", or similar on the drive tray door. In Windows explorer, when you click on "This PC", the drive should show up as "DVD RW Drive (?:)" where ? is your drive letter. You can also right-click on your drive letter in Windows Explorer under "This PC", then click on properties. There should be a "Recording" tab on your properties dialog box. Clicking on the "Recording" tab should list your drive with a label of "DVD RW Drive".

Answer:	Some can be ripped to your pc then to DVD (cd's may be too small to fit a movie unless its under 700 megabytes).After saving to your pc, you can use the program or any other program that will burn a DVD. The DVD will only hold up to 4.2 gigabytes so make sure of the file size before burning or it have to go on to 2 DVD's.When burning, make sure there is an option to make the DVD playable on your TV or other devices (i.e. portable dvd player). Depending on the age of the player, older models may not play the dvd while newer ones will.In the US, players will only take a dvd if it is formated for NTSC. PAL formats are for other countries.I have ripped older movies but found newer ones have a copyright block that will prevent you from ripping them. So if you are hoping to rip Frozen to another dvd, it may not happen.I have used VHStoDVD recently on home made VHS tapes but had problems burning while I was on Windows 8. Upgrading to Win 8.1 removed whatever was blocking the program and all runs smoothly now.Hope my answer was not too confusing. Learn the program and have fun.

Answer:	I’m using it with Windows 10 to save video tapes from a Sony Handicam.

Answer:	Yes, it is good at downloading and trimming the video, but I feel that it lacks some options so I use Wondershare video editor to add titles and transitions to the video.
Question:	All i get a black screen from vhs but do get sound using ryw connections to usb. anyone else have this issue? or discovered a fix
Answer:	First, play the VHS tape through a TV to make sure that it works on its own. Also, try using a newer commercially produced tape to see how it works with the capture converter.. This will tell you if the problem is the tapes or the converter. Remember reusing tapes? The ones I had reused did not seem to work as well., while others were fine. Some flashed black screens throughout, while some were clear.
Question:	My computer doesn't have have cd rom reader. could i download the software somewhere? i have a windows 10 x64bit operating sys
