Answer:	I use it with a 50’ HDMI cable to an outside TV with no lag at all.

Answer:	I'm happy to say there is absolutely no automatic switching. That feature does not work perfectly and is a pain. I do not want any switch to move until I manually tell it to do so. That way the switching is problem free. I would pay tripple for a switch (like this one) that has no automatic feature. It never works correctly all the time, a hassle.

Answer:	I am using a fire stick and blu-ray player. 2 things how is your fire stick from your router? I moved my router because it said, You have a fair signal. You want a good or strong signal from your router cable modem with router. I also used a high quality 3 foot $ 16 HDMI cable from Home Depot. More money then the the switch. I also have a LG HD TV love this tv. I have no sound lag.
Question:	Do I need an hdmi cable for the single end or is one included
Answer:	You will definitely need 3 HDMI cables, with male connectors on all ends, to obtain full use of the Techole Bi-Directional HDMI Switcher. However, you may need to avoid inputting signals using HDMI cables with Ferrite cores. (HDMI cables with Ferrite cores have a round cylinder located just before the connectors on each end.) I use 2 Techole switchers: One splits a Roku output between my TV and receiver and the other one does the same for a Blu-ray disk player. My first HDMI input cables had Ferrite cores and the Techole switcher did not work at all; no switch light and no output signal. However, when I used non-Ferrite core HDMI cables for the input signals, the Techole worked perfectly, even with Ferrite core cables leading from the Techole switcher to the TV and receiver. As an additional precaution, I used 3 foot HDMI cables to minimize signal loss to the Techole input terminal.

Answer:	I recently set up our system using the splitter for Roku and a VCR. The TV responds to whatever system is turned on (Roku or VCR). We have only used the VCR as a player so far and have had no problems. We have not used our VCR as a recorder yet but I see no problem.

Question:	I have my eyefinity 3 monitor setup and want to add a forth, can I use this adapter, and is it active
Answer:	Note that previous answers were from 2015. Current AMD Radeon driver software (post-Castalyst) does not support MST, and NVidia has an article on their site explicitly stating their drivers do not support MST either. MST will still work in mirrored mode when in the BIOS and on Windows boot logo, because despite AMD and NVidia not supporting MST in their drivers, they DO still build the hardware to handle all of DisplayPort 1.4's feature set.
Question:	Is this product work with MacBook Pro
Answer:	No, the MSTMDP123HD is not compatible with a MacBook Pro because Apple has disabled MST, which is required for MST hubs such as this one to work, within the macOS operating system. Matt, StarTech.com Support
Question:	will this work with one 3440x1440 monitor and one 2560x1440 monitor? and will i be able to do over 60hz? they both do 100hz
Answer:	I'm fairly certain that you'd be pushing the limits of DisplayPort 1.2. Look at the total bandwidth being used of two monitors and if it exceeds roughly 24gbps, then the adapter won't handle it

How to use

1. Connect the HDMI input source into the HDMI Splitter Box Input port. (HDMI Input cable).

2. Connect the HDMI output enquipments into the HDMI Splitter Box output ports. (HDMI Output cables ).

3. Insert the DC side of 5V power supply into HDMI Splitter Box and then connect the AC side of the power supply into the wall outlet.

Attention: Insert / Extract cables gently.
