Answer:	It will work for what you want to do. The unit is better suited for 8 ohms speakers. Currently I'm using 4 ohms but not a great idea. If you drive the power too much you will blow the mono price. I also think that it's better suited for using 1 amp and two set of speakers.

IF you already have a receiver and you're thinking about a new one to use with the selector, you can always use the old ton and connect it to the second source, and now you have 2 possible kinds of music to switch around the house. WE have the Amp, CD, and IPad on source A, with an old receiver for AM/FM on source B, so we can have one program playing in some rooms, and a second in the other rooms.

Answer:	14 gauge is tight but will work. You need to be very careful stripping the wire so you do not get stray strands while inserting. Another option is to use a short pigtail of 16 gauge and transition to 14 gauge. Impedance loss is linear so a few inches of 16 gauge will have no impact on losses

Answer:	This is not an amp. It takes an output to speakers and can run different sets of speakers. If you do not have enough power in your receiver to run the speakers it will not work. Each time you turn on a set of speakers it will drop the power by a percentage. Some receivers can not handle more then three sets.

Answer:	I do not recognize the Receiver you are referring to but the connections are very simple. The speaker wires that are driving your speakers will be shortened and then connected to the Pyle Home speaker selector. Then your speakers will be connected to the Pyle Home speaker selector to each of the different four zones that you have in your home/office/whatever. I am presently driving three pairs of speakers with one zone unused. I have had perfect performance.

Answer:	While you can connect up to four pairs of speakers, this device will not work as a surround sound device like having front, rear, center channels like a Dolby or DTS system. This only splits a stereo signal to multiple pairs of the same exact stereo signal.Hopefully this helps.

Answer:	You can control up to 4 sets of speakers independently or play all at the same time! I have switch A for patio speakers, switch B for inside house, sometimes I play A or B or A+B
Question:	One person indicated what they believed the protection button was. Does anybody know? Pyle technical support apparently doesn't exist
Answer:	In modern amplifiers the protection button is actually used to simulate a safe ohm load to the amplifier, not mask the lack of a load. When you connect multiple speakers of certain ohm ratings in series or parallel, it alters the ohm load presented to the amplifier. The switch allows you to attach multiple speaker sets while presenting and "buffering" a consistent/safe ohm load instead of the actual load. 2 x 8 ohm speakers in parallel on the same channel would show up as 4 ohm (divide ohm rating of speaker by number of speakers), which could cause your amplifier to fail (it needs to work harder) if not designed to drive speakers with that ohm rating. If you are using more than 2 pair of 8 ohm speakers simultaneously you would turn on the protection mode to present an ohm load of ~4 ohm instead. Most protection solutions present a 4.5 ohm load in this scenario. Understand that ohm loads are AC and thus are constantly fluctuating during playback. Speaker ohm levels typically will "change" @ different volume levels etc. Low impedance allows for a more efficient electric signal. Typically speakers are rated 4, 6 or 8 ohms. Lower end receivers can sometime have issues driving low impedance 4 or 2 ohm speakers.
Question:	How do I hook this up to my 5.1 receiver
Answer:	Hello Dan,This device is for other areas of a home where you have additional speakers and is not made to be used with the surround sound system. It can be used with "Stereo Receivers" or with 7.1 A/V Receivers where your only using the 5.1 portion of the receiver. What that means is if you have a surround sound system in your home, then all the speaker outputs of the receiver are dedicated to the surround sound and at that point there are no more speaker terminal outputs to be used.However, if your receiver is a 7.1 A/V receiver and your only using it as a 5.1 Surrond Sound System, then you will have 2 additional speaker outputs that aren't being used.At that point you can attach those terminals (via 2 speaker wires a left & a right) to the Pyle 4 Channel Speaker Selector. Now connect the other rooms to the outputs on the Pyle Speaker Selector. ***Make sure you have the correct speakers paired to each individual room when you connect these wires. You can easily determine this by taking a battery from your remote control and placing the ends of the speaker wires to the battery. Positive end of the wire + to the positive end of the battery and the negative end off the same wire to the negative end of the battery, You can hold the negative wire tight to the battery with your thumb while you release and then retouch and release and retouch the positive end a few times. you should hear a popping sound coming out of the speaker. This will let you know which wire goes to which speaker in which room or area. I usually use a "Sharpie" Marker and label the wire "Living Rm" or "Dining Rm" or what ever the room is that the wire goes to. *****Now, and this is most important or you will "FRY" your Pyle unit, make sure the negative wire that is connected to the Pyle output is the same negetive wire that is connected to the speaker terminal in the room where that wire goes and the positive does the same. IF YOU CROSS THE WIRES AND PUT THE NEGATIVE WIRE IN THE POSITIVE TERMINAL, YOU MOST LIKELY WILL GET BAD RECEPTION TO THAT SPEAKER OR FRY (DAMAGE) THE PYLE UNIT AND MAYBE EVEN YOUR RECEIVER. ALSO, MAKE SURE NO BRAIDS OFF OF THE SPEAKER WIRES TOUCH THE CHASSIS OF THE RECEIVER OR EACH OTHER. THIS WILL SHORT THE UNIT.Finally, you may have to go into the setting of your A/V Receiver and select the "Speaker Settings" and scroll to where the "Surround Back" or "Zone 2" Speaker set up is and select "NO". This will deactivate the use of those speakers to be used in the room where the Surround Sound is and will allow them to be used for "Stereo Music" to other rooms.In about 90-100% of all A/V Recievers have to use "Analog" or "RCA Cables" from the device you want to hear the music or sound from in the rooms that the Pyle is hooked up to. FM Tuner (or radio stations), Pandora and Internet Radio Stations are already incorporated in the receiver and will play with no problem.Now just select "Zone 2" on the Receiver and press the "Input" selection you want to hear in those other rooms. Raise the Zone 2 Volume Level for those rooms and you should hear music or audio. Please note that some receivers have a time period of 5-6 seconds for you to do these steps, so when making your audio selection and volume level, know where your audio selection button is that you want before performing these steps or your Receiver timer will time out and you will have to permorm them again. It can be frustrating at first for a novice. It was for me. Sometimes still is. LOLA couple of things to know. I would only use this device if I had "Individual Volume Controllers" in each of the rooms or areas where I want Music or Sound. If you don't, then the "volume level" will be the same in all those areas. Volume Controls allow you to do what they say, they can "Control" the volumes level. If the Music or Sound is too High in one room, it might be too Low in an other room. Question:	Will fit on slider rack shelf with 16 inches wide and 15 inches deep? thank you
Answer:	Good question. There are two things you should know before you pull the trigger on this. Banana plugs don’t insert far enough to stay put, and since I have this box hooked up to amplified speakers I kept getting a buzz. I bought special banana plug pig tails which I ended up removing because of said problem. What did work very well for me was to remove the banana plugs and strip and solder the speaker wires then tighten the threaded part against the inserted wire in the hole on the shaft, a very tight connection and that worked great. The other issue is you can’t turn off one the speakers which was reported in one of the comments. It is annoying but for my application one set of speakers is downstairs with their own volume control so, I just adjust the volume on them when in use. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Hi, I have one of these (returning the 1st one due to poor speaker terminal , I find that it will accept a 4mm and thicker Banana Plug. Amazon's model was poor fit, but MediaBridge's plug in more securely. I have not fully connected my XtremePro yet, but I hope this helps.

Answer:	I may not be understanding your question correctly, but with this item I am using the volume control on my amp for the front speakers and the volume on this device to control the volume on the rear speakers. So yes, I can set one set of speakers at a different volume that the other. Again, if I am understanding your question correctly.

Answer:	Hi sounds like you dont want to see the tranformer , with cable running down the wall. What I did with mine if you know about wiring electrical and things like that I cut the wire from my Transformer to the unit and I made it longer and I run a wire up into my attic where I have a light switch with a plug .plugged in the transformer ,made the wire longer so now it's a hard wire unit basically that's what it looks like because all you see is just the unit in the wall with the faceplate no wire sticking out of it and that's how I did mine don't know if you have access to your attic and if you have a light up there with an outlet but that will be the best way to have a clean job for it, hope this will help a bit, also to your question, this unit comes with a 120v to 12 volt dc converter
Question:	Can I use this for two source inputs and one output? IE: Channel A = (inA, comA = Chromecast); Channel B = (inB, comB = other source); out=speakers
Answer:	I assume you are referring to the bluetooth name. I have 6 units, they all use the same name, but that isn't a problem, because they don't advertise unless you push the volume knob. After you pair each one, rename it on your phone, no need to rename on the receiver, the phone can tell them apart. So if you have previously paired to a phone, when you turn the unit on it will try to reconnect to its existing paired device. If you want to pair to a new device, press the volume knob while you are scanning for devices from your phone, then rename it in bluetooth settings on your phone after it is paired. The only time you are going to have an issue is if you press the volume knob on 2 devices at the same time, you wont know which is which, but since you probably cant be in 2 rooms at once to do that, shouldn't ever be an issue, and whichever one it pairs to, you can rename to distinguish which is which..

Answer:	HPS-6 allows you to only turn individual speaker pairs on and off at the switch. SSVC-6 supports inputs from two different sources. Two stereo amplifiers playing different music or other audio can connect and be selected at the volume control on the switch. So each pair or speakers can play either of the two input sources and volume is adjustable. Power handling is likely very close with both units. Check sp;ecs if you are going to rock the casbah. impedance matching with be featured on both switches. That is a big deal. Keeps the amps from running or failing.

Answer:	A: I would think it would be strong enough. Although I can't really imagine why you would have to do that. This mount will never be stronger and more stable than the way it was designed to be mounted. Also..another reason for the design is to ensure that the base plate that goes under your camera and the receiver for flush under the camera body so there would be little or no obstruction in camera function or the tripods abilities. Most tripods can tilt your camera to virtually every angle so depending on the camera body, if you do not use the quick release the way it was designed you may or may not be contributing to more stress on the base of the camera..

Answer:	The part that screws on to the tripod is 1 3/8 inches by 2 3/8 inches (the long part was measured in the middle where the latch is located.) The part that screws on the camera is 1 1/8 inch by 1 1/2 inch.

Answer:	Since the “Amazon 2x4 selector” is basically a switch box (completes the amp to speaker pair circuit you want) my gut says yes. But since you would be reversing the intended signal direction I can't comment on if auto impedance correction and overload protection, or even volume control will perform properly. And by reverse signal direction I mean to get your desired 4 amps mapped to 2 speaker pairs (4x2) rather than the intended 2 amps mapped to 4 speaker pairs (2x4) you would have to reverse your cable hookups on the back of the “Amazon 2x4 selector”. In other words you would have to connect your amp1, amp2, amp3, amp4 to “Amazon 2x4 selector” speaker1, speaker2, speaker3, speaker4 output jacks. And also connect your speaker1, speaker2 to “Amazon 2x4 selector” amp1, amp2 input jacks. Now with this configuration the “Amazon 2x4 selector” A/B amplifier button next to each volume knob will really be your speaker1, speaker2 selector. And your amplifier selector will probably have to the amplifiers themselves since you would want avoid sending more than 1 amplifier signal to any one speaker pair. Setting a volume knob to zero will may also accomplish this but I can’t be sure. Now what is the risk in trying this? Since the “Amazon 2x4 selector” is not powered (no power cord/supply directly to it) I think it is low. If it doesn't work you still have a really good 2x4 capability with auto impedance correction and overload protection. And if you are really persistent you could get (or build) two very simple 4x1 selectors. Label one of them A and one B. Connect all four amps to A selector and all four amps to B selector. Then connect A selector to Amp A input on “Amazon 2x4 selector” and connect B selector to Amp B input on “Amazon 2x4 selector”. Good luck. I applaud you desire to get it the way you want.

Answer:	Not sure that I understand your question. This will provide protection for wattage more than 100 watts RMS, with peaks up to 200 watts. If you have a low wattage amplifier and the amplifier distorts due to being overdriven, the speakers are at risk of damage.

Answer:	This speaker selector is 'Impedance Correcting' so whether you are connecting only one speaker in the pair, say the Left Speaker, or both speakers in the pair, the impedance will not be affected. Impedance affects each channel, not pair. In other words, only the Left Speakers will affect the impedance for the Left Channel, regardless whether the Right Speaker is hooked up or not, but with this Speaker Selector and its 'Impedance Correction', it will adjust the impedance to stay above 4 ohms.

Answer:	I did mine with banana plugs. It's the easyest way to do. I got mine from amazon and they are way cheaper then Best Buy. I have a surround sound system with another b option. I used that. If you have a regular receiver then use all your main speakers as A or B or both depending on your receiver. If you have a option c speaker that is what you use. If you only have A & B then you main speakers will be A. Then take Speaker B and connect it to the main speaker Selector. From there you can start using speakers from other areas and plug them in. Note the speaker wires from other rooms like m.ine should be from the attic inside the wall behind the receiver, or what makes your rooms easy for you. I also purchased wall banana plug outlets from Home Depot, Best Buy for your buck. The system works great and is the best I have ever owned. It also protects your receiver from blowing any fuses. Answer:	It says warranty listed on user manual and in table of content it says Limited warranty, page 5 but page 5 is installation tips. I've read the whole thing and cant find any mention of warranty. That said, I've had it several months now and works great.

Answer:	I don't think so if I understand your question. This is a passive system (no power supply) with wired input/output. I have bluetooth connected to one of my component amp inputs, and my amp is wired to this distribution system. Hope this helps.
