Answer:	This device is used to hook multiple products up with only 1 HDMI port available. The problem is only 1 port on the hub can be used at a time. Whichever number the switch is set to that's the device that will be usable. So to answer ur question tech yes u can hook both ur sound bar and TiVo box up to the tv, unfortunately u can only use one of them at a time.

If you have a sound bar with HDMI ARC in and out.... you would plug ARC in to you TV/projector and ARC out into this splittter which then could go to Roku/cable, computer, game console, etc. You then switch the splitter to decide source but it all goes through the sound bar. It did not auto switch, recommend you get a Cable Matters version of this switch it does auto switch to the most recent powered on device.
