Hardware specs for a device like this are based on bandwidth in Hz not fps. fps is determined by the relationship between the graphics card and the monitor, the software driver and software settings. The maximum resolution in the Siig specs is 3840x2160@30Hz and "HDMI frequency: up to 300MHz (up to 3Gbps)" which is slightly less than the HDMI 1.3 spec of 340 MHz (10.2 Gbit/sec). Not sure how Siig comes up with the 3Gbps number. This switch is probably based on HDMI 1.3 specs and not HDMI 2.x needed for 4k resolutions at 60 Hz.Smartavi claims to make a HDMI 2.0 KVM switch (SmartAVI UHDN-4P or SmartAVI UHDN-4PS) that claims to run 4k resolution at 60 Hz and is made in the USA, but is not sold by amazon. Answer:	The lights are annoyingly bright, so I put black fabric tape (hockey stick tape) over the front right LEDs. Then it's fine. [BTW: I've been running this switch (or an older variation) since 2012.]

Answer:	I just hooked mine up to my chromecast to be sure. It works just fine. Audio and all.

Answer:	In my experience it stays on the last channel selected even when the signal(s) are gone. However, if the power to the switch is turned off, it will then revert to channel 1 when the power is restored. Not a problem in my case as I don't turn the power off.
Question:	Does anyone have problems with voices coming through? I bought another brand 4HDMI w/Optical switch and all sound/music comes thru but voices do not
Answer:	I have found this to be a problem only with certain movies. However for them, if I switch from Dolby 5+1 to Stereo on this switch, then the voices return but just not in surround mode. I will admit it is pretty annoying. I first noticed this problem with Night at the Museum on BD and thought it was a connection problem. Since then, I have had it with several others too. To work around it and get the surround sound on movies, I move the Coax or Optical cable from the switcher directly to the specific player that I am using and then it works fine. I am running the switch's HDMI out to my projector and the audio Coax/Optical output from the switcher to my home theater sound system. I have not verified if the audio is being correctly sent to the HDMI output for use on a TV with its own sound, but I assume it is.

Answer:	This should work as long as both monitors are receiving from a single output source on your laptop and one for your desktop. Since the matrix has two inputs, your inputs would need to be (A) laptop and (B) desktop and your outputs be Monitor 1 and Monitor 2. If you have your monitors both plugged into a video card that supports dual screens like mine does, then I would say that situation would only work to clone your desktop to the monitors and not to use them as an extended desktop.
Question:	How is the the audio/video timing between the two outputs. I want to feed two TVs that are next to each other the same program
Answer:	I use the 2 outputs for a projector and a TV. I have had them both on for a short period of time and didn't notice any lag in video. Can't say for the audio since I don't use audio on projector. I am using the optical toslink cable to an amp for audio and it works well.

Question:	Will a CEC device make this switch choose that input and pass the power on signal
Answer:	yes it will.
Question:	For this to work ,does my tv have to have hdmi cec feature inbuilt
Answer:	Yes. HDMI-CEC must be a feature in your TV. This item does not upgrade your TV. It's only used to increase the number of HDMI Ports. But, it sometimes does not recognize the CEC device when you have a few plugged into the switch. It works better than a switch that does not have CEC as a feature, rendering all your CEC devices plugged into your TV CECless(sp?)
Question:	Will the switch turn on by itself or needs to be turned on from remote every time ? I will put this in a slave socket in power saving bar driven by TV
Answer:	It will turn on once power is restored but it will always be in 5.1 audio mode and always input 1. Even if it was off when power was lost it will turn on once power is restored.
Question:	Since there's 1 HD out & CEC, is it safe to say, any input device with CEC connected to the INPUT of this switch will transmit to TV without issues
Answer:	You cant use CEC to switch between non CEC devices. I was hoping that the 4 ports would just show on the TV as input 1 thru 4 on it, but it only shows on the TV is the device supports CEC and sends its own name, so the PS3 and PS4 are there, but the xboxes are not, so I connect those directly to the TV. You can use the button or the remote to choose from any of the 4 inputs but that really defeats the purpose of getting a CEC switch.

Question:	Do anyone has tried double tape to secure this to a wall? Does it emits heat
Answer:	I used to work for DIRECTV and I would not recommend using tape to secure that to a wall I would recommend getting a plastic fastener to anchor it into the wall or just leave it loose because you do not want to bend the HDMI cable because it will degrade the signal over time. As for heat I haven’t noticed any yet but when electronics do heat up it will be located where the the hub (3 hdmi connection side).
Question:	I saw a suggestion that all three ports need to have something in them for the thing to work - is that true
Answer:	Nope! I just got mine today and I'm using only 2 hdmi ports and it works awesomely!! Hope this helps!
