★FIRST, make sure your computer or mobile phone (which should have Cellular Data disabled) is connected to the extender network, not to your router network. The network name (which is also known as an SSID) of the extender is "wifi‑5g-XXXX" or "wifi-2.4g-XXXX" (XXXX is the last 4 letters of the MAC address that is labeled on the back of the product).

SECOND, please try using Chrome/Firefox/Safari/IE for configuration.

If you still cannot access the web management page after following the above steps, reset the extender and try again. If you still have any questions, please contact our technical support.

Answer:	Actually, your maximum Internet speed is offered and limited by your Internet Service Provider (ISP), such as the plan you choose. This wifi extender can boost your wifi coverage range, it cannot change the maximum Internet speed offered by your ISP.

Answer:	After configuring it, you'll see the SSID name you assigned it when you scan for nearby WiFi networks, and then you can connect to it and test that you have connectivity.
Question:	I was told that the Boost has a wireless set up. It looks like it has to be wire connected to the router, is this true
Answer:	Yes, it supports monitor mode. I have not tested with Windows drivers yet, but monitor mode works perfect on Linux Operating System, on Debian 9 with firmware-atheros and on Kali Linux out of the box.

Answer:	Not true. With BOOST there's two ways to install. You can wire it to your existing router or place it in any room without a router and it will connect to your WiFi router via WiFi and still create that private Sonos network. I am using BOOST with the 2nd option and so far it's be working just fine.

BOOST has no audio outputs. you plug BOOST into your internet router and its sole purpose is to create a dedicated SONOS wireless network for all of your SONOS speakers to synchronize through. separating its network from your existing wireless network, helps with performance, particularly if you have a lot of sonos speakers in your house. if you are looking for a sonos device which you can plug into an audio amplifier, you are looking for the SONOS CONNECT (and audio inputs and outputs). but the CONNECT is significantly more expensive. my theory is they don't want to cannibalize their speaker sales so keep the price artificially high. i picked one up on craigslist for a good deal.

I had a three piece Google WiFi system, but was not happy with how close I would have had to keep each one together for decent performance. Where I had them, I was getting about half the data transfer rate I was expecting So, I replaced the one that was connected to my modem with the more powerful Nest router. The difference was amazing. I got an increase of about 50% in the throughput measured at each of the three Google WiFi nodes with two of them in the same location as before. Then, I put the one that was formerly attached to my cable modem in a new location to cover even more of the house. If you want to get really crazy, build your entire mesh with nothing but Nest routers. You give up the microphones and speakers of the less expensive Nest points (which I didn't want anyway), but gain more coverage and better performance. When I did that, my performance nearly doubled over what it was with the Google Wifi system I started with.
