Answer:	I tried but couldn't figure it out. They are great cables though. For my speakers, I use InstallGear 14 Gauge AWG 100ft Speaker Wire Cable - White, available at Amazon. I used AmazonBasics Speaker Connector Banana Plugs - 6 pairs for my banana plug connections. It was an inexpensive option that allows me to make a couple of sets of cables and the sound is great.

Answer:	When new, the plugs are somewhat of a tight fit. Hold the AVR and push firmly. They will fit.

Answer:	I tried it on a flip style and they were too big. The measurement of the plug is 0.15" or 3.85mm at the tip, at the widest 0.20" or 5.3mm. Your flip connectors may be larger than my example, a quick msr of the max gauge wire you can use will answer.

Question:	im trying to make my own test leads for different applications, will these work/fit with a voltmeter
Answer:	Depends. It should fit as the multimeters use standard banana plug socket innerds, but for years commercial test leads have no longer used bare plugs because of the hazards associated with accidental contact which would be shockingly dangerous if working with high voltage (yes, these meters are routinely used in high voltage electrical applications - my meter carries a CAT III rating for use with 1000V, CAT IV for 600 V). BUT, I mainly use my meter on ham radio stuff and sometimes on cars - all low voltage DC applications.I just ordered these to make a current (amperage) test rig with Anderson Power Pole sockets. Again, I stress that I am working with voltage running significantly less than 30V (sometimes 24 V systems in aviation or other automotive systems), but I will wrap the plug bodies in heat shrink insulation to minimize likelihood of contact.

The 12 gauge was a little difficult to get wrapped back around and then screw down, but I really don't know of any banana plug that would we easier, without going to the kind where they use a screw to fasten. Answer:	As PCKIDZ replied, this is a two function connector.The banana plugs are pushed into the hole in the end.If you unscrew the barrel which is knurled, the smaller shaft is exposed, where you can slip on your spade lug and then tighten the knurled shaft to secure the lug.

Answer:	I have a High-End Denon and these plugs work just fine. They have a nice heft to them. You'll see. I was pleasantly surprised when I recieved them. A special note: I dont know what gauge wire you are planning on using. I bought 8 awg wire and it barely fits in these plugs. 12 awg or smaller will give you ZERO problems. Don't sweat the petty reviews. I assure you these bad boys are WELL WORTH THE MONEY!

The flyer that comes in the box doesn't state the make up of the base material, however I can say it is very heavy for it's size and if I had to guess I'd say it is brass. Answer:	Depends on which type of "push-in" connector you mean... there's the (square) "spring terminal" connector that is most common in speakers and has a small hole for inserting the cable, and there's also the newer (circular) "push-in binding post" that will accept either the banana plug or the bare cable.

Answer:	Hi, these are "standard of the industry" banana plugs - diameter of the male end is 4 mm - it is standard. For some computer and laboratory applications, you may have 2 mm (very small), for audio/DJ/PA - if it is a "Banana Plug", it is 4 mm (millimeter). Answer:	Heat shrink wouldn't be necessary. These are meant to plug into the red and black posts in the back of your receiver and speakers. There wouldn't be any electrical shock, but would get feedback or potentially damage your speakers if touching other wired speaker connections.

Answer:	You can't replace RCA plugs with banana plugs. Two different animals. RCA carries the signal in the center plug and ground on the outer portion. Banana plugs are just one connection, not two.

Answer:	I got home today and ohm'd them out. Yes they are conductive from the gold banana plug to the silver colored metal jacket. Again they fit pretty snug into the banana plug receptacles on the amp and they are far enough apart I'm not worried about them getting shorted. Unless your dropping metal on them or something like that they should be fine.

Answer:	yes. I used them with Monster cable heavy speaker wire, plenty of room to make connection. They are excellent quality.

Answer:	I have one older set of speakers that I used these with and the do fit--just. Pretty tight and not sure best use as if the spring clip breaks or no longer has enough tension will not work later w bare wire. If you want to use connectors rather than bare wire get "pin" style connectors instead.

Answer:	If the wire is on metal I see no reason why you couldn't. Make sure to not mess up the treaded portion. There might be better plugs out there for soldering.

Answer:	Most contemporary sub-woofers are powered (non-passive) and have line level (preamp) and speaker level (amplified) inputs. Old school passive (no built-in amp) subs just have a speaker level input. If your's has speaker level inputs that accepts banana plugs then yes, these will work. However most subs that I have seen do not feature banana plug inputs, I'm guessing since you are asking this question that your sub does not If you are looking at a single input that looks like a audio cable input, these won't work. Search subwoofer cable on amazon. (but really any RCA type audio cable will work providing you have a "subwoofer out" on your amp)

Answer:	I think you are confusing the purpose of banana plugs. They are made for making connecting/disconnecting easier at the back of receiver. No unscrewing/screwing down posts...just push pull. The speaker clips on your sub woofer is about as easy as it gets already...no need for them there, and not recommended.

Answer:	12 awg is as big as you want to go in these depending on the size of the jacket on the wire. I had to use a bit of flux on some of them to get the jacket to slide in to the end. I have also used 18 awg with these and find that its a bit small of wire for these to work but they did work. I would say 16 is as small as I would run these with.
