Answer:	The guy in the below answer does not own a PS4 obviously, A PS4 has a HDMI connection, not DVI. It should work since the cable says its bi-directional, so you can use it DVI to HDMI (most common use probably) but can be used HDMI to DVI. I haven't used it in that configuration, I'd have to test it out on my PS4. I have it going to a HDMI TV.

Answer:	It should without a problem. Ash is one of the hardwoods that splits easy, especially green. I like this splitter because of price and was able to set it on a table next to wood pile. Work at waist height. I had a hardwood that had been drying for about 4 months and it split it well. You can go a little bigger on size than they advise and some bigger by finding spots to split in sections. Again it has performed well at least for a cord of wood so far.
