If yours has a smell, perhaps you could research the use of baking soda (a known odor neutralizer) or perhaps soak it in some oxyclean and allowing it to air dry....I'm not recommending anything, just suggesting that you research how to deodorize it. I ended up ordering this item again...I have a pink one and a lime green one....perhaps yours is a different color or perhaps the dye has a different smell...just a thought. Sunshine and fresh air do wonders for airing something out or a fresh rain storm as well...it is spring time...maybe put it on the line during a rainy day and let the sun dry it out.
