Unbelievably, the firestick allows you to screen mirror with nothing more than your phone and the Fire Stick. Hold down the home button until a prompt comes up allowing you to mirror your device. You don't need internet at all to mirror your device. I spent a year trying to do just that because we didn't have internet where we were. I would download movies and shows on our phone while in town where our phone had a signal then play them at home where we had zero service.

You can download any .apk file you want using any browser you want, and use any file manager you want to open and install it. Question:	How unreliable is the 802.11 ac going to be on the new fire tv where they recommend this ethernet adapter when i put the 3rd gen fire tv in my cart
Answer:	Wait. Folks need a reality check. This is ethernet USB adapter is only 10/100Mbs while the 802.11ac wireless protocol can, theoretically, reach 1.3Gbs! Yes, in real life that speed is unobtainable, but 1Gbs is obtainable and amazing. More so, it is an order of magnitude FASTER than this stupid thing. Really, it isn't that hard to put a 1Gbs ethernet interface in that USB adapter in this day and age. If you feel your wireless can't handle it, but want spectacular performance with your television, get rid of any WiFi extenders you may have and replace them with WiFi routers that support 802.11ac (decent ones are here on Amazon for $60-$70 and less on Prime Day). An extender, by design, cuts the WiFi speed in half as it's sole purpose is to strengthen the signal, not push your WiFi data faster (routers do the latter as that is what their primary function). In fact, put the WiFi router near your TV to get the optimum performance to minimize interference. One caveat that wired has over wireless and don't argue with me on this: Wired is inherently more secure. I will help people secure the heck out of their Wireless, but it won't change the fact that your neighbors can attack your wireless network without being inside your house. (both wired and wireless can be hacked over the Internet as that issue is about the Internet Protocol (IP) address's reachability, not the physical implementation of the network). If your performance of the wireless is still really bad , then you highly likely need to change the WiFi channel that you are using. For instance, if all your neighborhood has the same Internet provider, you are all on the same WiFi channel. There are android apps that report what channel you and your neighbors are using, but for iPhone, you are essentially SOL on that. Ask your Internet provider for help.

Answer:	I can confirm that this remote works with the nvidia shield as of update 7.2.1. When pairing, you will need the nvidia or other remote to select the remote and tell it to pair. The amazon remote comes up as "AR" on the bluetooth pariing screen. Volume controls also work!!

Answer:	I have the 2nd gen Fire TV stick and bought this generation remote to get the TV power and volume controls. My remote did sow up with instructions on a narrow folded booklet. I followed the "if this remote is in addition to the remote that came originally", and the setup routine provided step-by-step instructions to pair the new remote with both the Fire stick and my Samsung TV. Basics were to use old remote to go to "Settings" and then "controllers & Bluetooth devices", then "Amazon Fire TV Remotes", then "Add New Remote". Next you push the home button on the new remote for 10 seconds until it flashes rapidly to show it's ready to pair. You'll see the new remote listed (the only tricky part was realizing the listing of "Amazon Fire Remote" was the new one, not the old one). Select that and it'll tell you to wait for a minute, after which it asks you if you want to pair with your TV too. In my case it successfully detected my Samsung TV, asked me if this was correct, then confirmed power and volume worked. Whole thing was done in about 3-4 minutes.

Answer:	I am using it to send movies from my Canon mini-cam to my 27 inch PC monitor. As long as the connectors fit, small on one end and large on the other, and the fire tablet can drive a picture or movies to the TV I believe it should work.

Answer:	I don't know. However, I can tell you how it works between my Dell laptop and Sony TV. After hooking up the cable between my laptop and the TV I remember the HDMI port I've connected the cable. My TV has 3 HDMI ports. Next, I bring up on my laptop what I want to watch. On my TV remote I select Home, then scroll through the menu until I find Input sources. Next, I scroll through the various Input sources until I find the HDMI port where I connected the cable. Once selected whatever I have on my laptop now appears on the TV. Hope this helps.

Certain generations of Fire and Alexa devices have completely different radios built in them, and for ALL Amazon Firestick, and Fire TV including the ACTUAL Amazon Fire Tv's (Toshiba, LG, Insignia, and more manufacturers coming soon) this is the most confusing question! The Amazon Fire branded Televisions do not have the same tech as a Firestick, FireTv, or any variation of that device. Those are using plain IR (Infrared) remotes, and most likely any decent brand universal remote will control the Amazon interface built into that TV because the TV is controlling that function! Items like the one you're viewing here are for the actual PORTABLE Firestick/TV/Cube/Recast devices. NOW pay attention because THIS is where its gonna be the answer you and many others seek! This remote here, (has a Voice button on top, and no other extras) will work on the: Firestick 1st Generation, Firestick 2nd Generation, Fire TV box 1st Generation and Fire TV box 2nd Generation. there were ONLY 2 Fire TV boxes made and this will work for Both of them including the 4k second gen! Answer:	Yes, if you mean using the same firestick on a different tv. The remote goes with that particular firestick, no matter what tv you connect it to.

Answer:	There isn't one; they all have Alexa support now, but as noted in past answers, you don't have to use it if you don't want to, and you can disable voice purchasing altogether. Unlike the Echo series, you have to press and hold a button to activate the microphone on the remote; it doesn't listen continuously. Note that even the original Fire TV Stick without the voice remote is actually voice capable, either via the mobile app or by purchasing the voice remote separately. If you really want a voice-free setup, the original remote is available for sale separately; search for B00LORGAG6 on Amazon for that part.
Question:	Do they come with the wristbands
Answer:	I think using this cable is questionable. The Fire Stick wants 1 Amp and most USB ports supply 500 mA max. The stick comes with a separate power supply, use that. Or use a cell phone charger producing more than an amp. If you don't have an outlet close enough then use a longer cable. But's let's say your TV does provide "enough" power, it might be enough most of the time but fail when the fire stick needs more. Borderline power generally means flaky behavior. You need a supply that has adequate overhead to cover anything the stick can draw.

Answer:	The Fire-Stick clearly has a wire attached, but it's for power. It does not need any external wiring to connect to the programming (i.e. Xfinity). The FS is portable too. I plug it into my laptop and as long there is wifi, I'm in busiess. It's like the apps on one's samrt phone, portable and wireless. I love it! Genius!!SIDEBAR: If/when someone invents a rechargeable battery that is small and light enough to fit the FS's design, then it will truly be totally wireless.I hope this was helpful.

Answer:	It still feels flush to the case but I dont think that can be corrected without the remotes changing the height of the buttons or the case overlapping the buttons. But you can feel where the silicone ends because of the gap.
